How to fillup in style...93 Octane (Vpower)
sigh... since the search button still not working I would've loved to just post this on Kennedy's gas door thread which is woof from last year I believe... anyway, so thewanderer shows me an ebay link to this door... and when I click buy it now... he had already bought it
thank god it doesn't flow with his style
$80 later and a 5min install... here is me filling up at SHELL

I don't really do "visual/aesthetics"... but it is nice when I do lol
here is another non-performance mod I did recently
The CF looks good.........I went to fill up with Vpower yesterday and the only grade they had was regular. And my gas gauge was below the E. Geez........
Tow hook looks good too........can ya post a pic looking directly toward the back to?

^ good luck with the install... me and james (thewanderer316) were scratching our heads why the damn thing wouldn't flip open like the stock one does...
then I found a tiny lil tab near the hinge...

Did TheWanderer have to wait 1-3 weeks for the door? This part would go well with all my other CF parts
Looks nice Al

he got it like same weekk
also there are 2 little rubber nipples on the oem door... you have to swap those out also... aside from that it is 2 10mm bolts and a hell of a time to align it with the body... but it sure it nice

I can pull it off on WDP cause I have the CF lower lip from ua6spec, CF B-pillars, CF roof spoiler, CF trim in the headlights, CF centercaps on the volks, and CF license plate...
It stands out WDP, but flows with the rest of the CF trim.
I contacted the seller and he stated the filler door is a black primered OEM part...I may shoot the inner area of the door with some black semi-gloss since I'm anal and primer offers NO moisture resistance. I think it actually absorbs moisture over time.
I'm also wondering if the added thickness of the CF overlay allows for the fuel door to still sit perfectly flush with the body? Looking at how the door mounts, you'd think it has enough adjustment at the hinge mounts to accomplish that but...??? If it sticks out and doesn't sit flush with the rear fender, I got issues with it (being a perfectionist is a PITA sometimes!

- Over a year on mine... No rust on the inner side. Feel free to spray away, but it might be overkill.
- It adds less than a mm of thickness to the door. It does not sit flush, it looks just liek the stock one, except CF.

I saw this on ebay too!! I don't think it would stand out on my NBP, just like someone else mentioned above so I passed on it! But def would look good on AM or ASM/SSM/WDP??
mmm idk about that. Is your roof spoiler real or fake printed on cf?
You have to see the whole car, it does look awkward in the pic above...
I like it. You don't like it, I don't care anyways.
Roof spoiler is fake CF print off ebay. Never seen a real one. Actually, I saw one real CF rood spoiler a while back from a guy named Mike here... He was gonna make them, but like so many other good ideas, it never materialized.
csmeance, ballin... Like I've said before. CF only gives weight savings when you replace a heavy part with a custom molded CF piece that's lighter than the part it replaces.
This is a STOCK fuel door that has been overlayed with real CF weave and sealed. It is purely a looks mod... and replacing the fuel door with a real molded CF ($$$) would save all of a 1/2 lb... Taking a dump before the race would do more.

I think it sets off your car and stands out in a good way
