i carry the pheonix gold lines at my store and as a general rule i hate them, just no where as good as they used to be. That being said the damn octane components seem to be indestructable. I bought a pair a year or so ago and damn if i haven't ried everything in my power to blow them up. So i imagine the all pg setup sounds pretty good. please just don't tell me you have all the little blue led's lit up on the sub and what not. . . .

In the last week there have been TWO posters talking about their recent Phoenix Gold upgrades - both were their FIRST post to this forum, and neither one had pics.

And both were cut-and-pasting the info text about their product from some online site.

Just sayin' is all.

How's the weather under that bridge?

BEFORE:

AFTER:

REAR DOOR UPGRADES:

FRONT TWEETER UPGRADE:

FULL AMPS:

LEFT SIDE OF AMPS:

RIGHT SIDE OF AMPS:

I upgraded the rear doors, components with tweeters. The front factory tweeters slot was very small, they re-did the underneath part and of course added the phoenix gold tweeters, they make a custom mesh cover for the top. The box with the 2 10" subs is temporary, they had to special order my 2 12" boxes. I won't have the subs together, 1 12" sub will go on the left trunk, right behind the taillight, the other will go on the right part of the truck behind the taillight. I would to have some truck space! They created a special rack and put the two amps back to back and had them stand up. I will provide more pictures next saturday when I get my real 12" subs and my 2 sub boxes.

NEW SUB ZERO BOXES:

I got different boxes than I said I would, I didn't like how the ones I ordered looked. I got sub zero boxes of course, now my 12" Octane ZR subs are finally installed. I also bought a special add-on custom grill, removed the center piece so the box looks like it has jaws or teeth! All I have to say is, WOW, its so loud, my ears starting hurting so I had to turn the bass down to 3 instead of 6 on the head unit. The base was so thumpin', I shit you not, the rear view mirror would not stay in the position I left it, it started moving real slow out of my viewable focus.

Anyone in sacramento that wants to hear my setup, private message me, I'll swing by sometime, let you listen to my system and give you my friends info at the stereo shop in folsom, they will give you a phat hookup. They saved me over $700.

Total system cost, w/custom grill add-on, $2,250. Not bad for phase 1.
When I get ahold of the new XBOX 360, they are going to put two screen in the headrests for me, cut out the factory headunit and put in a 10" touch screen display with no buttons, i will put a 20 CD/DVD/MP3 changer in the trunk, they will also add a center speaker in the front dash when I put in my dolby digital decoder in the trunk, that should give me the true 5.1ch dolbe digital surround sound. On top of that, I will have them make me a full custom enlosure in the back, most likely remove the spare and have them put it all fancy on the bottom. I will also try to see if they can cut out the "TSX" logo on the top with a blue light backround. Hopefully I can do my phase 2 by the end of this year. I would estimate around 4-5k.
