get the bulb from here => http://autolumination.com/switchback.html

Then you unplug the bulb from the turn signal.

Then plug in the new bulb then you are done.

^ you'll need a pair of equalizers as well

Install them the exact same way you would replace the turn signal bulbs. they fit right into the socket the same way a bulb would.

and yes, you might want to install load equalizers or resistors on the circuit otherwise your blink rate will be super fast.

Trew, do you have switchbacks with the stock HID bulbs? Isn't the color off?

yes, but only a very small amount. the switchbacks have more of a blueish tint to them. it doesn't look bad at all, really. I'll take a pic tonight and post it up.

I want to do the switch backs. I have 6000K fogs already, so the match is going to be fine or off? Pics would be nice Trew.

I just ran out and snapped a few...

Park lights

Signal on

Low beam w/park light (looks very close to identical)

Closer view: Turn signal on

Turn signal off (between blinks)

Nice. I just wish when they would blink they wouldnt alternate between white and amber and just blink amber all the way. Its just that it causes unwanted light attention and dont want to be pulled over for that crap.

Does this mean I'm not going to do it? Hell No!! Order is already in the works.. LoL

Thanks for the pics!

my pleasure.

yea i know EXACTLY what you mean. at night, it's even more pronounced because the white looks 3 times brighter than the amber so it looks like its flashing white instead of flashing amber!

if i see a cop i don't use my turn signal. i don't want to draw attention either. if they pull me over i would just show them the lights and tell them i payed 10 times more for a bulb just to stay legal

There are switchbacks from V-Leds that ONLY blink amber.

Type 1 switchback alternates blinks between white/amber

Type 2 switchback blinks all amber.

Link below: for 07-08 TL-S (bulb size is 1157 instead of 7443)

http://www.v-leds.com/Shop/Control/P...id/0/SFV/32481

I don't know if they make 2 different types of 7443 switchbacks.

DIY To The Rescue

Here's a great DIY from Fulani Has a TL. Pay attention to the wires that he tapped in the trunk. Regardless of what kind of resistors you use, you will tap the same wires. Also, even though you install the switchbacks in the front, you can mount the resistors in the trunk. Front and back turn signals are on the same circuit.
