Hood Trim

I am pretty sure the answer to this is yes, but I'll ask.

Oh yeah I did a search for hood+trim and nada.

Are the hood nose trim pieces interchangeable between a base and a Type S?

I have 08 front bumper and 06 hood trim.
the black chrome clashes with the 06 hood trim.
I really need to get the 08 hood trim.

The only thing i could think when I read hood+trim, was wooden trim on a hood. So this popped into my head

My trim is scratched so I was thinking chrome to match the front chrome emblem. My grill is dipped black. But then this evening I painted the trim to match my wheels. Not sure if I like it tho...have to live with it for a while. Might cause me to paint my grill to match the wheels or spend the $40 on chrome.
