Looks like PMC comes with electronic suspension? Where is the control unit located?

I've looked behind the center console kick panels but I only see Active Sound unit.

Adding a photo of the unit from eBay

I believe the active dampers on the PMC/ Aspec Advance models started in 2022. A 2021 PMC is just an Aspec with special paint and trim items.

https://www.frankletaacura.com/2021-...ge-comparison/ Advance? Car does have HUD and surround camera system. But that link does not mention Adaptive Damper System

While https://acuranews.com/en-US/releases...ge-pearl-paint mentions it. I am confused.

The 2021 PMC is an Aspec/Advance. For 2020 and 2021 the PMC was the only way to get Aspec/Advance so it has active dampers.

The official features grid halfway down the page confirms this below:
https://acuranews.com/en-US/releases...ge-pearl-paint

I'd trust the official Acura release over a dealer listing.

As far as the control unit, don't know. See if someone knows where it is on an Advance and I assume it is in the same place. You could go to dreamshop.acura.com and look at the diagrams. It reacts to drive mode and how hard you're turning, so it may be controlled by the car's main ECU and not a separate control, but I have no idea.

I just noticed from your other post that you just got the car from Acura of Auburn. Was it certified? If so, then the entire suspension should be under warranty.

In the 2022 there is a clear difference in how the car handles bumpy roads between sport+ and comfort, all because of the dampers. I heard that Acura widened the damper range in 2022 vs 2021, but I presume that it still should be noticeable in a 2021. Do you notice a difference between those modes?

Nothing is broken just want to add my own sub harness and tinker with the system a bit, diagram is a bit vague looks to be somewhere between seats, would have to take center console apart I guess.

The damper control unit is under the cup holder area if I remember correctly.

Found it! Takes two bolts and a lot of clips to access, connector is facing driver's seat.

I guess my research and info on the ‘21 PMC was wrong. Sorry about that! Glad you found your answer!

In other news, we have less fancier system than Civic R - RDX does not have suspension stroke sensors

Suspension stroke sensors seem to be for detecting/offsetting hard-braking-dive in the CTR, probably a situation that is mostly for track.

I'd think after a hard brake on street, you'd slowly move out of the way/back into traffic, so not as necessary on a street-purposed RDX. The RDX's acceleration sensor is 2-axis: the 22 has an onscreen display that shows both axes, don't know out 2021. A 2-axis G sensor seems like it should be enough to cover street scenarios so makes sense to me that stroke sensors are only on the CTR.
