Angry HID fog light installation question

okay guys I'm trying to install my foglights running an HID kit with a relay however it want to be able to turn it on and off through a fog light switch located in the cabin

this is where I currently am:

the black and white wires coming out from the relay have been cut, my question is where do i tap the black and white wires to? I have REF# 6(fog light harness) and REF# 7(fog light switch) from https://www.hondapartsunlimited.com/...%20%28%2706%29. where is the positive end of the battery going to?

+1

if you just upgraded the existing foglights to HID it should be plug and play. unless this is not the factory foglight and you are trying to control it with the factory switch.

It's only plug and play if you're not using a harness. A harness is recommended so it doesn't burn the factory cable. Connect your factory foglight connector to the harness and you will get the results you want.

if your TL is an 06 and is a US-model, you have pre-existing fog lights. I have an 06 and last time I checked, I did have pre-existing fog lights next to my low beams.

wait I am soo confused. soo you have an 06, but with a type-s bumper. now 04-06 doesn't have the lower grill fog lights. The question is where are you trying to wire them into if you want to have an independent switch???? are you using the accord fog light harness mod? cuz from what you are trying to do from the graph is not going to work. and Nay to your statement: it actually is plug and play when you have the accord fog light harness.

I think the OP might be referring to the lower bumper fogs not the factory ones next to the low beams.

then in that case he is adding a second set (aka accord foglight mod) on top of his existing fogs.

since he has an 06, he already has foglights (next to the low beams). if he needs to upgrade them to HID, it is simply plug and play. i know, i have my OEM fogs upgraded to HID and I have an 06.

now from the looks of it, he is adding foglights to his lower bumper (which does not exist for an 06 model) and in addition to that, he is putting HIDs in them. and he wants to control that with a switch from the cabin.

oh then just follow guitarplayer's DIY if you are trying to run the lower grill fogs on an independent switch.

I've got a similar set-up. 05 with 07-08 lower fogs. I used a H8 HID kit, KC Hilights universal fog wiring kit w/ relay, and a cabin switch. I wanted independent control and to be less intrusive on the existing factory wiring, so I wired it up directly off the battery.

You have DRLs in your headlights, dude.

Anyway, guitarplayers DIY will work. If not, all you simply need to do is install the switch to a relay

Power from fuse #32 ---> Switch
Switch ---> Relay Trigger

Tap Power from battery for relay
Output to fog ballasts

He's got a 06, which has fogs not DRL's in the headlight housing.

There will be no tomatoes being thrown at my face hahaha I have an 06 they are FOGS not drls.

I don't have the relay that connects to the relay that adapts to the switch; it goes relay>relay switch>switch. I'm trying to run it with out it because why tap into your fuse box when I already have an h1 harness the only problem I have is idk how to hook it up the hids straight from the h1 relay to the cabin switch and maintain the switch light and control the on/off of the foglights

Hi, noob here. I was wondering where is a good place to mount the two ballasts as well as the relay in the 3rd Gen TLs? I have an 05 TL and I am trying to install HID fog light kit as well. I am looking to order this kit:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/35W-HID-XENO...#ht_6871wt_987

(4300k color temp, 9006 bulb size)
has anyone heard anything about it?

well for my car i have an 06 tl with an 08 type-s bumper on it and for those my friend said mounting them on the inside of the bumper on top of the grill covers works well i don't remember if the earlier base models had that but i would try to mount it on the inside of the bumper up at a decent height or an open spot somewhere in the engine bay that's just my 2 cents
