Help: To Prevent Sun Damage for paint and leather.

I park my car on the street. I have read tons of issues about paint issues (peeling off, etc...). I also worry about the leather will go bad under the sun/sun damage. Do you think car cover will help to prevent these problems? If yes, is there any special car cover I should look for? like material wise that can block the heat/sun damage.
How about application? Any special application for the paint and leather to keep them last? Please give me tons of informations. Thanks,

Leather: Condition monthly with Lexol or Pinnacle. Every 3 months or so, I clean my leather with a mixture of cold water fabric cleaner and water (roughly 5 parts water and 1 part cleaner).

Exterior: Wash w/ Dawn liquid. Dry. Claybar. Then apply Zaino until your arm falls off (which it won't because it's soooooooooo easy to take off).

That should do it quite nicely.

What type of Zaino's products are you using besides the claybar? Are you using Z-2 as well?

I purchased the new car show kit, or whatever it's called, and I used all the stuff except for the product (forget the name/number) which is the product for light scratches.

I was a bit skeptical until I used it and now I'm a Zaino Cult convert.

It's good stuff. Are there other products which are out there similar to Zaino which might be cheaper? Probably; however, everytime I've sent an email to Zaino Bros, they responded within the hour and was quite informative. That's customer service!!

If you park the car for extended periods of time in the sun, get a car cover by all means. It's not that good for a daily driver since they have to be placed on a clean car, but they are excellent for keeping the sun and UV ray's from damaging paint and interior items. I'd only use a cover if I was going to let the car sit for several days without driving otherwise, the advice above about Zaino and leather conditioning is the way to go.

another thing you can do for the leather is get it tinted. you can go with a light tint, but get one that is 99% UV blocking. I went 20% tint, but still 99% UV blocking. Also REALLY keeps the car cooler. The tint level preference is entirely up to you.

The front windshield is green tinted / heat rejecting, but I've forgotton the UV rejection level. All of the windows are also the same, but it's not 99%.

When I had the loaner last week for a week, I noticed how much warmer the car was in sunlight w/o being tinted, I missed mine from day one.
