HELP! need help with grill mod

So I have these transformers emblem / badges and want to do a mod, to replace my Acura "A" emblem. The rear is no problem, very easy. What I am stuck with is how to go about doing the front, with the emblem mounted on the grill and all.

I have no idea how to even begin planning this. The new emblem is totally flat, and has some 2sided tape on it. My Acura emblems used to be gold until I replaced them, so I know just taking out the emblem and sticking the new one isn't going to work, because there is no flat surface to stick it onto. The inside thing of the grille is molded to house the A.

Can you guys please give me some suggestions. I am all ears. I want this done asap lol.

that I already know, i replaced my emblems before. What I am searching for are ways to securely mount it. If I stick it to where the original emblem goes, it will not be secure at all, there is no flat surface back there.

You can use extra strength adhesive and just glue it on top of the "A" OR really do a good job this way: The emblem sits in a black plastic "cup". Take it out from behind and make a custom blank piece from a cut piece of aluminum or something that will fit that exact area and then glue the emblem on top of this and screw it back in place. It will be secure.

Someone on here had the superman emblem in the front. Maybe they can chime in on how they did it.
