Talking Help 05 TL to 07-08 Side Mirror Mod.

Hey guys i just need some quick advice. I bought a pair of 07-08 side mirrors with the blinkers and, also got them painted AM cause as we all know that color is no longer available in the newer TL models.

I was doing some research here from people who have already done this mod and, i noticed that their are two ways you could wire these up. one is to directly spice the pink with black wire that's on the mirrors and run it to the fuse and, the other one is to run that same pink with black wire to the tail light blinkers or the front blinkers.

My question is which one do you guys think its safer and easier to do? because im kind of skeptical and some what scared to just tap in to the fuses to hook them up.
Thanx in advance for your help.

Run them to your taillights. It's time consuming, but a hell of a lot easier than than tapping to the front lights. Plus, it's safer than tapping into the fuse. Good luck.

in my opinion the 04-06 mirrors are horrible. they remind me of hippo ears on a hippo so little and, plus i already bought them and got them painted the color of my car.

Why is it so important to have blinkers on the mirrors?

dude its so much easier to run it to the fuse box.... plus ur tapping into the source not something secondary thats fused.... theres 2 wires blue/red and white in the fuse box panel one for the right turn circuit and ones for the left. simple to tap into and make it work....i soldered mine down because u cant trust a union tie its not always 100% any troubles give me ur email ill send u the car service manual u can look up the connections yourself

BTW- this is really well worth doing. Dont listen to the haters. They look 100% better and the blind spots with the little oem mirrors are DEADLY...

so do these sides just bolt up and connect to the motor controls and everything? Or is this more difficult then that.

Its Simple
The mirror plugs are the same its just one wire that you need to run from the turn signal.
Compare both mirrors the 04-06 and the 07-08 with one another and you will find the single wire its a Pink and Black.

Alright guys thanx for all you input.
alittle update for you guys keeping track over there. This weekend i was attemping to do the mod but it started to get cloudy and, after already taking the passanger door panel and, taking the old mirror off i felt light rain(dont have a garage) so i had to hurry up and, decide wether to put the old mirror back or just intall the new one without hooking up the blinkers. Yes you guessed it i put the new mirrors on with out the blinker being hooked up lol but, i will finish this mod next saturday.
The worse part was that after i put both blinker mirrors on and, put the door panel back the light rain stoped. lol
