I wish that there was a feature where it would do both, like how my dad's avalanche used to.

You will then be able to listen to as many as 32 CD's (6 CD's on 1 DVD-A) in your 6 CD changer.

Here is a link with all the information with many methods/alternatives to create your own. And get this... It will only cost you the cost of a DVD disc and some DVD burning software (which you might find for free).

This utility by Adobeman encodes 2 channel to multi-channel. Works great, sounds awesome.

I am not sure what you mean by do both? TPMS and mirror? but you can have both the drivers and passenger mirrors tilt down by changing the position of the mirror switch accordingly, its in the manual

I meant i wish both mirrors would tilt town at the same time... I don't really use it, only when parking backwards, but it would still be nice. Also, i want the side view mirrows to fold in when i park the car like on Lexus or Mercedes... that way i dont have to fold it myself..

He meant that he wished that there was a way for both mirrors to tilt down at the same time, instead of just one at a time. There is not a way for both mirrors to tilt down at the same time. If someone has found a way w/o modding, can you please share.

When I first got my TL, I too wanted both mirrors to tilt down simultaneously. After thinking about it, however, Acura made a wise decision not to tilt both mirrors because you can see oncoming traffic behind you in the non-tilted mirror opposite the curb.

yeah... my dad never liked it when i had it turned on on the avalanche. he was like "that's so useless. all it does is not show you what you're gonna hit." lol

but i really want the mirrors to fold in when i park the car like on Lexus or Merceds, i dont know if i've said that already, but yeah.

I also want auto lights...

Dont we have auto lights? I just leave my lights on all the time. When you get out of your car and press the key fob lock button your lights turn off. BEN

Thats what i mean. They are auto on/off. As soon as you start your car the lights will turn on automatically if you just leave them on all the time. They will turn off when you lock your car and then turn on for you when you get back in to start the car. BEN

Hahaha I knew that. ok. this is exactly what i want.

I want to be able to start the car and not the the lights on unless its dark, or like if i go into a tunnel have them come on, then when i come out of the tunnel turn back off. Then when it's night time turn on again. Basically I want them to go on/off according to lighting. I want fully auto lights.

I have deleted a whole page of posts that were not applicable here. If you have questions post a new thread or search and find out if your question has been answered or if there is already a thread on the same topic and if it is not answered there post your question.

This is a thread on new features, not things you wish you had or don't like or need to get some answers for, so please let's get back on topic.

Cant remember if this was posted or not, but in the Navi, after entering in your trip, it displays a list to the right for your next turns. If you keep tapping the map button this list on the left will switch to the 3d turn view and then back to the list.

Ok, in the Navi Diagnostics Mode, go into "GPS Information", you should see the number of satelites you are tracking.

While in this screen, push and hold the "Menu" button for 10 seconds, you will then see the "GPS Detail" screen.

At the top (along with other info), you will see:

"Speed: xx.x Km/h"

the only bad thing is it is in metric, but the speedo also has metric.

You can now see if your speedo is off vs GPS speed.

Push return a few times to get out

EDIT - the speed is in mph in the USA, also, it is not in real time has has a slight delay, so if you are going to use it, set the cruise control first, my speedo read dead on with the Nav system BTW.

By the way, the tire calibrate screen auto detects the tire diamter, if it shows "level 10" it is done, anything lower and it is calibrating. Leave it in auto set, do not fine tune on your own.
Does this mean if I go to 255/25/19's, it'll recalibrate the speedometer?

You would actually want 255/30 to be the closest match, reccommended for 19's is a 245/35/19 to give you a guaranteed fit with no rubbing etc....

I used to go to the Audio screen to press "disc repeat" if i wanted my disc to start over and I though to myself "why would they make a RPT button that only works for the track, but in the audio menu have repeat track or disc?" So i was like "maybe this will work..."

PRESS AND HOLD RPT while a cd is in and it will Rpt Disc, as opposed to track.

After it worked I thought about how dumb i felt at that moment ((I've had my TL since May 06 and JUST noticed))

I found out that you can have 2 settings for the brightness of the instrument panel. One with the headlights off, the other with them on.

New feature found tonight...after 2 years + on my 04TL. I had the hood open and found I could not get a confirmation beep on the alarm although it did lock the doors. Thought about it for a moment and realized the cars alarm has a hood switch. As soon as I closed the hood it allowed me to arm with a confirmation tone.

Now that I think about it, I suppose this must be common on cars with built in alarms.

I JUST found out our cars have a trunk net!! My prev. car was an '04 G35 and I always loved the trunk net - then I got the TL and was like, uhhh where the hell is my trunk net?! I hate when I put something in the trunk and later go to get it out and it's all messed up from movement.

The net is found in the spare tire compartment. I tried installing it, but couldn't do it right - so I'm gonna do a search and check the manual.

You can toggle the dash brightness at night using the MAX button. Once you decrease the level of brightness using the << button, pushing just the max button toggles between max brightness and whatever level you previously set.

very cool thread... got my 07 TLS a month ago....

they were very lame in delivering the car to me and the salesman left 2 days later so WTFE....

I love the car... some great suggestions here... learned a lot.

* I really miss my Infiniti FX auto exit seat and power tilt and programmed memory 2 for exit.
* I also miss the mute but power off works fine and pauses CD.
* The map lights DO NOT turn off if manually turned on (which I learned the morning after I got the car but it started).
* To see traffic incidents, it is not necessary to joystick to the event and press... either voice command SHOW TRAFFIC INCIDENTS or touch the white circle and hit SHOW INCIDENTS soft key and scroll... goes in order from closest (mostly construction anyway) to what you want and hit DETAIL softkey... really easy and many less keystrokes than joysticking
* if you dial on a cellphone, you can just hit HFL key once call is connected in order to transfer to the HF Link
* oh and if you EVER get into a situation where you want to set the Keyless Memory Settings and get a message that the key must be linked first, just turn on the ignition with the key that is not linked and off then on again. Craziness.

This is a cool car though

Thanks all.

My Navi Uttered Her First Word!!

Before I owned my TL I had a Garmin that actually spoke the street names but my new TL didn't! I was angry and yes annoyed.... Just the other day I was playing with the Voice Guidance options and set it to minimum and then maximum.... I thought this was for volume but it's ACTUALLY for frequency of directions and the amount of details given.

Well WHAT do you know, I had it on max and she told me to turn on "Sunrise Valley" instead of "The Road"!!! I can honestly say it was unexpected and at the time I heard it I almost ran into a ditch with joy!!!

It was kinda funny because I felt as if my child had just uttered her first word (and I don't even have a child). In closing though it's not the cleanest text to speech but it's better than nothing and with the car reading everything else to me all the time it just makes since for it to tell me what street to turn on next!!!!

I'm SUPER EXCITED NOW!! I think i can begin to forgive the complexity of using the nav now...

Don't know if this is new or not. '07 TL-S. 5 AT.

When in Sport Shift, it has a 2nd gear start.

Say you're in Sport Shift (out of habit maybe) and in the Mall Parking Lot. At a full stop, click into 2nd gear. The car will NOT automatically downshift to 1st gear the next time you stop.

It will stay in 2nd until you use the SS to either up or down shift. Better than running around the parking lot in 1st and 3000 rpm. Also nice around the neighborhood, droppin the kids at school, etc.
