Angry Hate my Dealer.....

Sup guys

I made a thread about some problem i was having with car. AC was running warm sometimes and gauge above nav was acting up (blinking/dimming) and 'd' was flashing.

So they told me it was the cable from battery to alternator/starter so that was replaced for $250

4 days of driving got the same damn problem took it back to dealer.

Now they said it was some "pressure solenoid coil by trany" so they fixed that for $235 and just got my car back and saw it says on invoice 3rd pressure switch which they replaced. Damn i know there is thread on this forum and i could of done that by myself. Also after driving it for 5 min the ac was running hot now im pissed of they charged me total around $500 for something which is not even fixed yet.

So my question can i charge back because i paid with my credit card?

Probably not, but it's not right that they didn't find out about the pressure solenoid the first time....

Eh. If you're real pissed, blow smoke up their ass and threaten legal action if the issue isn't rectified.

If you are going to Acura Dealer, bring it to Honda, they can fix it the same, sounds like they will do a better job!

it is sometimes better to take it to a mom and pop shop to fix whatever is broken instead of bringing it to those idiot mechanics that dont know what they are doing..

individual shops usually have more experience in the field then dealer mechanics.

Leave a review on yelp. A really bad one. If they care about their image, they will know about it fairly fast and call you to talk more about it. I did this and had the parts manager call and email me directly. Only do this if you can't get a hold of a manager. I am assuming you already asked to speak with one? Always the first step as they usually have more pull to do anything than a regular service rep.

Also give Acura client care a try.

Ed Voyles in Chamblee, GA Blows!! I had a Service Adviser tell me I needed a new battery & positive battery cable, because my battery was so corroded, they feared the terminal would snap off if they tried to clean it. I called BS!! I went to an auto parts store to get a terminal cleaner (wire brush), then to grocery store to get baking soda & vinegar.

In 10 min I had the battery looking new! I'm not an Acura certified technician, but I know enough that I'm going to question anything the Stealership tells me. I call BS on you guy that rhymes with "Ham"!!!

Call and speak to a Service Manager. The 3rd gear pressure switch is what caused the 'D' light to flash but it wouldnt cause AC or Navi problems

If you top display is still blinking/dimming, I had the same problem and its an easy fix in my case. Just pulled the top ac/display cover out, moved the pins up a little in the connecter so they had good connections and I haven't had the probem since. Good luck
