When i press the handfree button to setup my phone, The beep that should sound automatic doesnt beep. Also when select the handfree link on informatin center it says BOOTING for a really long time? Any of you guys heard of this problem? I had the car for less than 48 hours/ What do u recommend? Take it to dealer?

I have exactly the same problem.

I was told that it was "operator error" by my salesman and then a service advisor - both admitted their error. I took the car in the first week I had it. The first day it did not get repaired because the technician signed it off as "Navigation voice control working properly". The second day 6 of 8 technicians were sick with the flu and no one even looked at the car.

Next month I am going to take the car to a different Acura dealer/service dept. I will let you know what I find out.

I think that the HFL system is not connected properly.

ok I do have this problem. The car keeps loosing the BT connection, and then the BOOTING display appears forever. Sometimes the HFL talk button doesn't work. I have to manually reconnect the BT connection through the phone, and even then the next time I come back to the car it might be gone again. It seems completely random, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. at any rate, this is unacceptable. our vin is 10,xxx

 

What types of phones do you folks have?

 

SE T608...no one else with this phone has posted of any problems with the TL

 

Any luck in calling the 800 number?

 

Maybe that's because no one else has that phone yet?

 

I purchased a Sony Erickson T616 because it was supposed to be the most compatible with the TL. But if the HFL system is dead, even the most compatible phone won't work.

I called AcuraCare and explained the problem. They wanted me to take the car back to the dealer and have them see if they could repair it - since the dealer didn't work on it for the two days that they had the car. I will after Christmas vacation - but to a different dealer.
