got a question....
Tomorrow my car is going in to get a new rear bumper, sucks gotta have a rent a car. Got rear ended. I always wanted to debadge my car. Do you think I could ask them to do it there? Thanks
They probably wont do it, Just take floss, behind the emblem, you will leave some residue on the trunk. Use the goo gone and you wont see anything. I think from your username its an 08 so you wont have to worry about paint discoloration or anything since its fairly new. You'll be ok, do it yourself, its more rewarding
Dude trust me for an 08 the glue is practically still fresh. It will come off pretty easy and you should be able to rub off with your finger any glue left over. They come off pretty easy and it beats someone charging you to do it. 5 mins tops!!!

If they wont do it, do it yourself. Its real easy like msala said.
Take a floss, and run it between the emblem and the tape. Use your fingers and peel off the double sided tape. Spray some Goo Gone on the residue thats left, let it sit for a minute or two, spray some Goo Gone on a towel, then scrub the residue off. Keep repeating until theres no more residue.
Got the fender trims off my 04 WDP like this, and it turned out perfect.

Yea I'd assume they use double sided tape just like fender/door moldings. If its just 1 piece, then you dont have to hurt your fingers from peeling off the tape. Either way, debadging is fool-proof, as long as you dont take off the emblem with a screwdriver or something lol.
Like everyone else said, goo gone man, it works miracles. Also if you snap the floss use some fishing line that works great and it holds up better than floss. Its really easy man.
alright thanks man... and I should def do this right? looks a lot better i think. plus i got smoked tails so i feel like it brings them out more idk im weird haha
Don't use fishing line. Use floss. Fishing line might scratch the finish. Use long back and forth strokes just like when you floss your teeth. You do floss, don't you?
You will be done in less than 10 minutes.

no, it should be ok on an '04 nbp. everyone says to use goo gone but i used bug n' tar remover. put some remover on, heated it with a hairdryer, and it rolled off with my finger.
remember NOT to use your fingernail, u will scratch the sheet out of the paint.

Meh my dental floss was snappin on me so I used some thin fishing line and it worked fine, no scratches. I probably have some crappy dental floss though I guess, either that or my emblems were on there solid since my car is an 04
