Gary,
What dealership did you order from? How were they to deal with. I have been to a few dealerships in the Seattle area and I generally like the sales people, but I despise sales managers. Looking for some pleasant people to deal with.

I had a similar experience. I talked to most of the dealerships in the Seattle area but some wanted a non-refundable deposit of $1000 or more. I don't do non-refundable deposits so I took my business elsewhere.

I ended up at Hinshaw's where they secured a navi car for me without a deposit. Its getting built this week and I should have it in two weeks or so.

I had a guy tell me about the deposit option and when I pushed him about the non-refundable part, he admitted that there was no way that the dealership could legally keep your money if you didn't get a car. I have heard that Hinshaws is great, but it is a long drive for service. Do they treat you better on service issues if you service it where you bought it?

Good question. It should not matter where you get your car serviced (even warranty work). When it comes down to it the service manager wants your business just as much as the sales manager no matter where you got the car. The only question I have is with items installed by seller like tint or accessories. You might have to go back to them for fixes or replacements.

I plan on getting mine serviced in Bellevue because its much more convenient for me.

I ordered my car from Bellevue Acura from Jae or "Jay". I've been very happy with his low key style. Not pushy at all. A good guy IMHO. I wouldn't say I got the greatest deal in town (msrp) but given the service and experience (so far) I'm satisfied. He will throw in some all weather mats in the deal too. I ordered my car in October and I asked that he put in writing that the deposit is non-refundable and he did.

all the best,

Gary

Funny coincidence! I ordered my 6MT from the same guy at the same dealer 3 weeks ago!

Mine is supposed to be built next week...can't wait.

I got the same deal (msrp), but as you say, I am very satistied with the service so far.

BTW, I almost bought "your" car! But I prefered waiting 2 more weeks for the antracite!
