Got mine yesterday....
Just wanted to say thanks to all you folks for your advise and information you shared, it certainly helped in my decision to get this car.
I went in last Friday with the intention to just check on availability and wound up buying a TL. My overall buying experience was very good and was as hassle free as it can get. I don't normally like to share purchase details but they did go below MSRP by several hundred and threw in several accessory items. So, I'm content.
I wound up with an Abyss Blue Pearl with Quartz interior, Auto, Navigation, Mud Guards & Side Molding. I also had the dealer install LoJack, just in case. I was thinking about the Desert Mist but they had this car sitting out in the sun and it looked really nice. When I picked it up the sun was out full force and the blue was spectacular with all the metal flake in it. Plus I haven't seen many of the blue. This is the secound one I've seen here. Seem like they are making way too many silver and desert mist. Also they only had 3 cars with Navi at the time, out of about 18 TLs. If I did get desert mist, I would have had to wait until January for it with Navi. So there may be some truth to the shortage of TLs with Navi.
Weather here in Houston sucks this weekend, so I haven't driven the car much, but so far so good. The car had 6 miles on it at delivery and the VIN is in the 10,000s.
I'll give it a few days and report back on any issues or problems encountered. I'm a bit nervous driving it to work for the first time and leaving it in a public parking garage and not my garage. Nothing like new car jitters...ugh.

Bob,
Surprisingly they had this my car on the lot. The story I got was some college student came earlier and ordered it but when it came time to pay for the car, he said his Dad would pay. When the dealership called the father, he said he wouldn't and the throw the kid off the lot if he ever showed up again. So if this is try, I lucked out because of some spoiled brats misgivings.
The dealership had only 3 TLs with navi on the lot and I originally wanted the Desert Mist but was told that they would have one in the area until January.
After seeing how the blue really looked (I've only seen it before when it was just off the truck and was dirty) I changed my mind and decided to go with it. It will be a bit more effort to keep clean, but I do like the color. It is a different blue than others.
So to answer the question, no problem for me to get the navi, but I was in the right place at the right time. Woohoo!

I bought at Sterling McCall Acura on the SW Freeway. I went there first because they seem to have the largest selection. The only area dealership I didn't visit was Charley Thomas in Clear Lake. I took test drives at both McCall and John Eagle. Got treated well at both. Like I said above I felt that McCall treated me very well.

Mook, what luck! I saw a blue TL a couple of weeks ago here in Cleveland, it's a gorgeous color! At least in Houston you won't have too much trouble keeping it clean (drier and warmer than cold, rainy, snowy Cleveland).
Hey TLProspect, I bought mine from Gillman Acura up on I45 and Rankin Road. They were pretty cool with me. I have 900 miles on mine and it's had no rattles, creaks, problems, etc. whatsoever. I don't know what their selection is like, but I bought mine back in late October and the selection everywhere was pretty bad.

Hi TLprospect,
I have looked at the three around here (Spring) and the selection is not great at any. I want a 6 speed and plan to order tomorrow at John Eagle. There are a number of them at Sterling McAll on 59 by the beltway. Had at least 4 6 speeds. John Eagle had about 6 or so automatics, but had a 6 speed black on black coming in in about a week or two.
Most want to get MSRP, but Eagle seems to be offering about $500 off if you buy right then.
Good luck....
