Going to look at an '07 Type S....help?
has 123k miles one owner all service done at the dealer they have it listed for 13,900. what should i look for and what would be a good deal? how are the auto transmissions? i just ruined my 03 thanks to a deer last night
These cars are basically trouble free.
you should look for common used car problems, like for example tire conditions, and if the tranny is shifting smoothly, etc.
its a honda that will last forever, depending on how the previous owner treated it, just like any other used car.
Since it has the same engine as your last TL, anything that you noticed about your 03, you could apply it to the 07 type-s.

Again, these "what to look for" threads are becoming daily posts. Scroll through the first few pages and youll see a couple of them and your questions will be answered.
To sum it up quickly, the Type S is a VERY solid car with no major problem areas. Therefore, just do the usual used car look over and if that checks out you will good. Remember, an accident free, low owner (one preferred), well maintained vehicle is always optimal.

I just know my 03 was prone to trans issues so instead of searching around for a while I would ask the current owners. You guys told me what I wanted to hear though thanks
Too many variables to say if it's totaled or not- bumper, driver's side front fender, but the pass side can't be seen, and it's unknown from the pic if there's damage underneath. Also, how many miles on the car? That is a determinant to value of the car as well. I would say that if it's more than 6-7K to fix it, it'll be totaled.

Basically your insurance provider will calculate the value of the car. Then if the amount to repair is xx% (probably 60-75%) of the car value then it would be a total loss.
But if it is, don't worry nor hesitate on getting that TL-S...
