Glovebox and armrest console LED's

Hello all,

I searched high and low and the search keeps telling me that there are no results. Sorry if this has been asked before. Now that all my interrior bulbs are white, I need to change the glovebox and armrest console lights. They look like they might be #74 bulbs. Can anyone confirm this? I can't seem to find any info online. If that infact is the case, then I would like to know if anyone has changed these and what type of bulb they used. It looks as though the side of the bulb would be providing the light, and in an LED, the side output is usually nil, so I was wondering if these type woudl work:

74-xHP3 from superbrightleds.com

Matrix II 5-led from autolumination.com

Thanks in advance for your time and assistance!

Well I got some answers...

This bulb is indeed a 74, with a T5 base, and the top bulb from superbrightleds.com, along with it's equivalent from autolumination (Matrix) will work just fine. I'm currently doing some measurements to see if the MatrixII will fit or if it would be too long. I will report back with my findings.

For LED questions you should always check out the Definitive LED Thread

I ended up going with the ones from SBL because they worked out better than the ones from V-LEDs. The matrix ones are interesting but check out their size (length wise) they might not fit.

Yep #74 is what you need. The bulbs you found look good. I have an older design that doesn't put out as much light as I'd like, they are tiny! I wish they made them the same size as the dome lights. I feel like upgrading too.
