Yes, but mine was a cold weather problem, didn't start until the weather turned cold in January.

Turned out to be two black plastic locating fins on the frame which project thru corresponding slots in the inner liner of the door rubbing against the liner as the door flexed slightly, and causing a 'chirping sound" when I went over bumps or road irregularities, just like a cricket. Putting black platic tape on the fins solved the problem.

But this time of year, I seriously doubt that's your problem. Also, be sure your noise is really coming from the glove box area--for weeks I was certain the chirping sound was coming from the console, it was my daughter riding in the passenger seat who pin-pointed it as the glove box door.

Good luck ferreting it out.

Any way you could post pics showing where you applied the tapes? I think I have the same problem... if you open the box and move it ever so slightly up and down, you'll hear it, right? Sound goes away if you keep the glove compartment open while driving?

I am 99% convinced that the rattle is coming from #1 area (screw). Look at the difference between screw #1 vs #2. You will see a black ring around screw #2. This holds the glove box real tight on this side. But, #1 screw has nothing around it nor any thing behind it (no nut is grabbing the screw). Over time, screw #1 will get loose and will create rattles. This is a truly stupid design given that the glove box will be removed a number of times to change the cabin filter. For a temporary fix, lift the glove box a bit, create a gap behind the plastic piece right around screw #1 and put a piece of foam tape in between.

Novice: Good analysis and sleuthing - I am not sure it isn't those black plastic locating "fins" though, or both. This is the one squeak that foes irritate me a bit - I have had some success in using black felt adhesive backed disc on the grey "mousehide" liner up near the latch cutoutm=n and to the sides. This help keep the box from moving. Funny thing is, the car is quieter in the cold than the heat for me - which is counter-intuitive.

I agree 100% that Acura should have caught this in pre-production review.

Another source of the rattle may be from the hook on the right side of the glove box. Just unhook the darn thing that wiggle the hook. There is a minute play in there and sounds like what I've been hearing. I don't think it'll do too much damage if I don't hook it to the glove box since it really doesn't nothing but slow the descend. It retracts into the recess anyways. I'll test drive it tonight to see if my noise goes away.

Without that hook, you could potentially break those two plastic holding points if you let the box drop suddenly. It is bitch to get that thing rehooked though.

Well, it's not the hook that's causing the problem. I was hoping that it was, but it was apparent that the noise was still there with that hook off. I will try the screw #1 next... what exactly is, foam tape?? Weatherstrip? I'm tempted to just screw into some duct tape to keep the screw tight since I don't have any weatherstip handy =)

Everytime you unscrew, the hole on the plastic frame will get bigger (every cheap and thin plastic layer) and the screw won't keep the glove box in the right position. Be careful.

I even tried to get the similar black rubber ring to screw#1, it's still rattling sometimes.

I used to replac the original screws by the bigger ones due to the holes were getting bigger.

I used the electronic tape to wrap those two fins. The glovebox is still noisy.

I put 3M medical tape to wrap fins and around the box. Still no good.
