Put stockies on for winter and lowered my car a bit more.. While cruising I get a lot of guys that roll up next to me and just stare.. The people in the back seat stare for almost a min. IDK

The worse was a kid in a RSX stops in the middle of traffic, stares at my car and cuts through everyone to enter the gas station (Where I was) to get a closer look..

Maybe I am not the only one... Anyone else want to share their story?

Well iono bout u Gus, but me here in NYC once had a guy literally take a RED light comin after me just to ask me OMG BRO IS THAT A STICK SHIFT TL?? im like holy cow i thought he was like an undercover cop but nope lol...

i c many ppl staring at me while drivin but act like if not noticin that they are lookin lol

I personally think the stockies look hot on a dropped TL, that's why I want to trade my TypeS rims for the 04-06 stocks.

I wouldn't say you get MORE looks, cuz im sure when you put the Works on you're going to be getting the same looks and more. But the TL dumped on stocks does look pretty damn hot.

I get looks all the time when i had my Rays or my stockies...

i do think aftermarket wheels will draw more attention to our car though.... when i had my Rays on.... even OLD people would comment and say nice car

its cause your car looks all suped up and then you have stockies cleary as your inbetween wheels lol. i see it as more of a sign that youre a car junkie, thats what i think when i see nice cars with stockers.

kinda funny how common the TL is, yet I drive around every day in my 08 and I never go a few blocks without people having a look see of my car. It's NBP stock with the exception of the tinted glass and smoked tails.

I don't think that stockies will get you more looks. Maybe kids in Civics and Integras that do those weird race mods will. Better yet put on a unpainted body kit, airplane wing spoiler, cleared tail-lights, put your aftermarket wheels in the back and black stockies on the front. Then put racing stickers all over the place and don't wash your car. They will love it!! There's about 100 civics in my town that look like that, I'll never get it.

My car used to get only moderate looks. (My car is more of the sleeper look I guess but it's got quite a huge number of subtle cosmetic mods.) Until I did a certain mod after which people do triple-takes all day. Guess what it was? Ever since I dropped the car on Teins the car definitely gets noticed by everyone. Looks like people really love and notice a drop. That's why I think that's why people are looking, if it was stock height nobody would care.

I'm the opposite, when I have the 19's on I can see people staring to the point where its kind of annoying. Stockies are more of a relief period...

I don't know I swear guys I get dudes rolling up in way better cars just stare like they never seen a TL before. I think it's because I am closer the the ground so to them "OMG'z that TL is slammed" I guess draws attention

I agree. I drove my moms rsx-s for a few days last week and it was kind of a relief not having everyone staring at my windows trying to see who was driving. Plus i think having tinted windows, the people that are staring dont realize you are looking at them so they just keep looking.

haha i agree with being lower... after i put my stockie's back on, my car sits MUCH lower and aggressive.... looks meaner, even w/o 20"s

I'll be dropping the car shortly here soon, so I'll see what the hype is.

I don't think I've seen a lowered 3G TL with stock wheels on yet. Oddly enough, all have had aftermarket wheels.

Average people see aftermarket wheels all the time, so to them it's just another "tricked out import". But when you have wheels that they recognize as being something that came with the car, but your car is extremely lower than the average TL, they are trying to figure out what's different. Or maybe they know, and they are just amazed. I get a lot of double takes -- 1, for the color/mod combo. 2, for the ride height, 3 for the wheels. They are Acura wheels, just not what you'd see on this car. The Acura center cap really throws them off.

Seems like no one recognizes stockies when powder coated. Everyone is shocked when I tell them they are factory wheels. Even another TL owner didn't recognize them!

People are always staring at my ride. The best is having 5% tint in the front so they can't see who's driving or whether I'm alone or not.

A TL is not a "rare" car, it's everywhere. Especially in NJ.
I'm pretty sure everyone owner of a car thinks that everyone else is looking at their ride.

Sh!t I catch people taking pics of and with the car while it's parked... Pretty funny actually... that's when I approach and really give them a TOUR of the goodies....



The AMEs COMPLETE the car... it's funny when MB AMG 63 & M5 guys ask me where they can get a set...

Trust me... it's not an ego thing and def not wishful thinking...

People drive up hard and slow right next to you and start to stare while the guys in the back seat are surprised to see a TL slammed on stock rims...

Now when I had the RJ's I would get a thumbs up once every month but, nobody really gave me this much attention before..

I agree with this. Typically, if you roll up on another car and see aftermarket wheels on it, you tend to think "That car looks tight, that person hooked it up and it looks even hotter now".

But if you roll up on a car with stock wheels, and it just looks sportier and hotter than normal, people think to themsleves "wow, I never noticed how sick of a car the TL really is", they just aren't aware that you've made it look even better because it's lowered.

It made sense in my head, but i feel like I lost a little in translation into written words.

i think it's cause they're used to seeing gold volks and now they see stockies and they're like wtf, and have too stare to make sure they didnt really see a guy swap out volks for stockies

I do agree though. To be honest our OEM wheels looks pretty good with our TL slammed. I get lots of look and compliments when riding on OEM's. But I only noticed that when my TL was slammed. On stock height not so much....LOL!!!

Stocks rock! I like all the 3G OE wheels. But I do like some aftermarket too.

I got the most comments about my car after it was rear ended.
It was always "wow that car is too nice to be in an accident"
"wow looking at that makes me want to cry"
and the best was looking out the doors at my work and seeing a group of 5 teenagers (boys and girls) surrounding the back of my car. Then they came in and were asking me about it. Some of them were on the ground looking underneath the car. lol

But earlier this afternoon I noticed this guy looking up and down my car and his younger son in the back seat looking as well. also, maybe about 15 mins ago this NBP suped up RSX was making a left turn and as he passed my car in the intersection he turned his head to look at my car = )

I also usually get comments at this one Chevron or carwash that I go to.
I love how nice the TL looks = )

Naw man it's not the wheels it's the car!! Your car is hot. Not to mention your drop makes the S wheels look even better. You could probably slap any old wheel on there and it would still look decent.

So I don't think the wheels make your car look any better, It's your car that makes those wheels look better.
