GAS usage I made in first year of TL'ing
Here are some gas usage values I made in the first year of owning a 2008 TL.
Time: September 9, 2008 to September 9, 2009
Amount: $2278.09
Gas fill up: 55 times (55 receipts)
Distance: 21500km
Location: Ontario, Canada
Vehicle Problems: None
anybody else have similar numbers?

I did the gas receipt things for two yrs then thought what's the point lol because it's a cost where I can't really avoid in the long run. I think the more important thing to watch is the MPG's as the years tick by.

guys, i just stumbled on www.fuelly.com yesterday.. .signed up and will start tracking my numbers there now. lots of TL data as well.
^ you can also use www.fueleconomy.gov for tracking this stuff for free and it's hooked in with the EPA estimates so you can compare actual mpg with estimated mpg and compare various makes of vehicles. I think the government's site is both easier to use than fuelly and certainly less commercialized. Give it a look.

Another benefit with using a website for storing your data is that it's easy to do calcuations afterward. My data is as follows from 8/6/06:
25,243 miles with 1245.99 gallons for 20.25 MPG
My average speed is 30 MPH since I live in an urban environment.
Here's a link to the other 2006 TL driver's records- I appear to be the only CA driver at the moment as well as the only one keeping the records current now.
