Hmmm actually I think it looks alright. I'm not really sure if it's my thing - I definitely like the clean look of the bumper when the front license plate holder is removed (luckily I live in Arizona - no front plate required). Don't really think I'd get it but if I saw it on another car I wouldn't think it was ugly.

I wouldn't think that license plate wedged into your grill will prevent a ticket. I believe it needs to be an unobstructed view.

Plus the aesthetics are harsh.....sorry.

FWIW, the sticker looks good.

I got mine from that ebay site - they also come in SILVER CHROME and BRUSHED ALUMINUM (shown below)... but you have to specifically request which you want sent to you when purchasing. I like the way mine turned out - some pics for reference...

I've been thinking about removing the chrome grille strip. I don't know if it really does anything for me... on the fence. Yes or no?

I think the white lettering on blue paint looks better than black lettering on white paint.

The reflective stuff that they had were given (or bought) from a moderator. The mod only had 2 that I think he personally made.

This is of my car (ssm) and my boyfriend's WDP. He's got that domed thing. He's going for that black & white thing on his car.

If you want more pictures, PM tzakiel.

Are there any air intake vents over there being blocked? I haven't even looked yet, just a thought.

Red face Interesting......

No offend folks, I love cars and especially my own. That's why I spend time to check out what other people are doing on their TLs. I always see some people sticking whole bunch of stuffs on their cars and I always make fun of them. I say it is up to the one to do whatever one wants to his/her own car, as long as the one feels happy about doing it.

However, after reading this thread I just have to say TL is an elegant car. Sticking those letters on the bumper would make me think of those whose have chrome door trims, non-functional antennas... etc

May be I'm not detail oriented enough to figure out the difference of having those "3D" letters. It just took me awhile to figure out what have been done to the TLs in the pictures of this post.

I say if you are happy, just do it. I can only say people may have too much time and money on hand. Don't forget "sometimes less is more."

yeah, but sometimes "less" makes you fit in... we like to stand out... and as for elegance, I'm 20 y/o - I don't really care if my car looks elegant, I care if it looks sporty, fast, and unique. Regular TLs bore me, as do most cars w/o spoilers/body kits. The reason I put the decal in the front of the car is b/c the A C U R A lettering on the front bumper is difficult too see on dark cars... I'm a car freak so any chance I get to make my car different, I try... lol maybe one day I'll take my car to Unique Autosport and just leave it over the weekend and say "do something with it." Psh--- I WISH!

I highly recommend the domed decals! Running a carbon fiber one myself. Actually...I think if you research it....I was the first dude to find these things way back in the day on ebay and crank one on my car. I recall when I first came on here and posted pics...people asking...where I got that thing at! As far as looks....I like it personally. Nice accent to an otherwise flat white look....but....I know some really dont care for em. Its one of those...to each his own things IMO. I like....others may not.

cool, thanks. When I purchased the grille strips, the kit actually came with 10 strips (5 for each side) to accent EVERY line in the grille. I got excited when they came in the mail and went right to work putting them on... when I was finished I looked @ the car and was in awe - not in a good way. The entire kit is just too much (I believe my reaction was something along the lines of "That's fckin disgusting!") and the lines didnt all fit straight so I just kept the two mid-lines. I like it too... input appreciated.

I am also 20 y/o, likes my TL clean but different. I have debaged the back and would like to do the A C U R A decal in the front, but IL requires the front plate. It looks good, stand out from the stocks on the road.

^^ pics? thankfully for me I don't have to have a front plate, even thought NYC law requires them. I have FL tags and FL does not require them... my little "loop hole," if you will lol

I know I'm kinda bring this back from the dead, but I just saw a commercial for a Dupli Color spray paint called Nite Lites. It is reflective so you can spray the letters with it and it will reflect at night or you can just get the paint and tape off the bumper and spray right on.

Good find, Looks pretty cool...few questions for anyone who might've used this before:

Will this fade?
Will it cause damage to our paint?
Since the only color I'd consider for my WDP is the silver ( NL200 Silver), What color is it in the daytime vs. nighttime?

Thanks in advance

I have no idea, I just saw them use it on that Dupli Color Focus they are always doing stuff to on Two Guys Garage on the Speed Channel. They were spraying a body kit and painted it first and then stenciled in the Dupli Color logo on the back with the Nite Bright, so I would assume it is safe to use on paint.

I have an 04 Anthracite. I think I will cut out some black reflective tape to fit the lettering. Seen the kind used in the military? I think it would be subtle but just enough to stand out (it is my wifes car, after all. Can't get away with much on it).
You think it would provide a good accent?
