can someone tell me the difference between the US TL and CAN TL

i mean.. i am in canada... but it seems like the setup is different in terms of the fog light...

can someone tell me... what happens when you turn on fog light anyone with usdm...

for CAN:
off-> DRL Light is on (the two center bulb) but dim
one-click-> two center bulb on (dim), side markers(dim), brake light on (dim), yellow part of headlight module on
two-click-> Projector, everything else the same except two center bulb turns off.

I always wanted to see someone try this exact idea on the TL......great minds think alike, but you get all the credit man, you actually put the idea into reality, I really like it! Gives it such a more sporty character instead of that wimpy blank look. And that lower grille looks much more useful too.

Now I'm trying to picture those lower and middle grilles all meshed out....hmmm......

BTW guys if you're into yellow fogs like me, the Accord fogs are available in yellow lensed models too so you don't have to go for those colored bulbs.

I have Nokyas in my stock fogs now which impressed me with their yellowness. Maybe it's no comparison to HIDs but it'll do.

A set of rockblockers is recommended. I broke 2 sets of fogs on my old Bimmer.

Sorry, I've been trying to get a hold of that fabricator but he's been in and out of town for side projects. He actually does some prototypes and designing for Honda Canada. So once I get a hold of him I will let you know.

The fog lights look awesome! It's a very clean install and looks OEM .

Now, please DO NOT put strobes on the car...I saw an Expedition with them front and rear, and it looked ridiculous as they blinked as he drove down the street.

Only difference between the OEM and the original is inside the foglight housing, there is a ring that surround the bulb. That is the only difference. Other than that...everything is pretty much the same. All I can tell you is that it is HELLA BRIGHT. My friend was behind me last night and all he see was 2 bright yellow bulb.

Raymond,

You can always buy H11 (I think that's the right bulb for 2004 Accord) HID kit instead of D2S.

Philips 3000K HID only have D2S. Unless I get those aftermarket rebase bulb. Those are not as yellow as the philips. those are somewhat like ion crystal yellow.

I will try to post some pic tonight or this weekend. You can get any L bracket. Get one that you can easily trim off the excess. If not just get twist tie and you can support it from the backing of the bumper.

Good Luck!

I did test out the fitment on the TSX and it does seem fitted but I picked up the Accord because of the curveness. So Ya..TSX or the Accord would look good.

I didn't see a picture with our original fog lights turned on, you can turn them on right? Like selectively alternate between top fog lights on only, or bottom modded fog lights on only or even both top and bottom on.

To do that I have to add an addtional relay to run both the top and bottom foglight. OR I can just install another switch onto it then have botn on or vice versa. But it's going to be too much wiring and hence. i prefer to have it in stock form. Don't want to have any expose wires on the engine bay.

I also think it's kinda of over kills if you have too many lights turning on. That's just my opinion. But each of use have its own preferences.

Yes it is aim correctly and the beam is very wide. I will post some pic this weekend or tonight. Yes the kit does come with a switch if you decided to run both stock and the after market fog light. I just dont want any wires around the engine by

Neat mod, very creative and resourceful... Not to shoot holes in your work, but the aiming seems a bit off to me. The curvature of the TL's grills is much more round than the Accord at the outer grill edge.
It look like the fogs are pointing 45 degrees (at the cars 10 and 2 oclock) instead of forward (12 oclock).

How do you turn on the fogs? is the signal spliced into your running lights?

WOW!! These are crazy! I didn't think these are out yet. Only thing I heard is that the upcoming Lexus LS600hL will be having LED headlamps instead of HIDs. So LED headlamps are available? I hope an acessible cost. They would be a great option to replace the factory fog-lights. And theres no worry with complicated wiring or placement of a ballast.

I make the foglight beam as straight as possible but I notice that it shoot off very wide like you said. 10o clock and 2 o clock. Actually I kinda of like that because I notice the after market foglight dont have a right and that can produce a lot of glare if you look straight on. So ya I think now it look very nice when it is wide.

As for turning the foglight, I am using the stock foglight switch. I can run another switch which the kit comes with but that running more wires. I don't have running lights so I just splice the wiring and run the wires down the bumper.

Only thing is that I'm not too sure if these are bright enough for headlamp. I think these are just like running lights.

I don't mean to hijack the thread but these lights seem interesting. Cutting edge stuff. I don't think the real deal high power ones have been developed yet.

I have a feeling that those LEDs are like these low power running lamps like these by PIAA:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/PIAA-...spagenameZWDVW

I did a search and it looks like v-leds has something available too. They say these are supposedly "high power", but that they are for daylight running lamps? Uhhh. Oxymoron??

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/VELOC...spagenameZWDVW

Interesting at the least because they are affordable. (Much less than a set of HIDs) I just wish to see if they can ever be as bright as a 55w bulb. Anybody have experience with any of these?

Well you had the guts to do the Accord fogs. You may as well get all the credit for all the pioneering efforts. Go for it, see what turns out.

As for me, I'd do it, but here in downtown Chicago, I don't have a garage and it's wintery enough for me to save all my mods till spring. (I need to move down south!) I have boxes FULL of stuff just sitting here waiting to be put on. Really frustrating.

I'll live through you vicariously. Do it! Do it!
