Foglight bulb replacement question

I tried to use the search but nothing popped up. Can someone tell me what the bulb size for the oem fogs for a 2004 TL is? Is it 9006? or H4's? I want to replace the stock dingy white/yellow to a true foglight bulb like a PIAA Ion crystal bulb. Thanks.

9006, but I believe 9006 and H4 are the same.

Good luck with the upgrade. I tried the Silverstar Ultra and there was absolutely no difference

I'm going to upgrade to HID's after the holidays are over with.

Thank you....finally someone replied

Well I plan to use yellow foglight bulbs for fog....so hopefully that will work decently.......white does not penetrate fog like yellow does. It actually will reflect off it..........also I tried pulling one out.....and it looks like a pain in the ass to take out........so I might just have the dealer put them in for me. Thanks for the reply.

They arent a pain to take out at all...
I used the regular silverstars and didnt think they looked that bad for being a regular bulb. They definetly looked better IMO...
I know your going yellow but for those looking for the match to the HIDs the silverstars arent too bad...

Just for clarification, our foglights are 9006 or HB4. H4 is a dual filament high/ low beam bulb.

Really? I put a Silverstar Ultra in the right side and kept the stock bulb in the left side. I couldn't tell the difference when I turned them on. They still had a dingy yellowish tint to them. Fog isn't an issue in Central Fl., so I'm wanting the fogs to be whiter. Upgrading to HID seems to be the best bet for me.
