Wow glad you are ok especially with the baby in the car. Obviously you did not see the other car since im sure it was well hidden behind the truck. So who was at fault here? Was it you for pulling out into the road in front of the car? or did he kind of illegally go around the truck while it was turning and hit you as you were pulling out?

In the end none of that matters just that your family is ok.
James

Wow, I just saw your age....your 19 and married with a kid? damn lol

officers said i was at fault , failing to be extra careful, i think he was speeding , that is way too much damage for 30mph

I dunno seems about right for 30mph. I mean think about it 3500lb car at 30mph is a lot of force to stop. Speeding or not gotta be careful when pulling out onto a street. Looks like the car took the damage well and did its job. Again, glad you guys are ok and goodluck on getting a nice replacement (if its totalled).

James

Unfortunately, even if the Mustang was going 150 MPH in a 15 MPH zone, it was your fault. The mustang had the right-of-way.

Thankfully, no one was hurt. This just shows that the TL is such a reliable and safe car. I would recommend not going away from the TL as the TL could've saved your child's life (while most cars wouldn't). I'd get a Type-S

Or re-buy the car, and fix it yourself. Those damages don't look that bad besides replacing the air-bags.

The most important thing is that you and your family are OK. Cars can be replaced.

I didn't know about the bag in the seat side bolster. Learn something new.....
OP, the Man Upstairs was looking out for you & your family. He even put you in one of the safest cars on the road to put the odds in your favor. Take the opportunity to be the best you can be.
Good luck. I'd love to see you back on the site showing off your Type-S soon!

Is that what tan seats tend to look like after a while??!!

Makes me want to condition more than my current twice per week.

I figure constant conditioning and an occasional redye will keep them holding up pretty well.
