I may try this as my 3rd brake cover is sagging allowed this "bleed" effect.
I replaced both white clips that hold it in place as I was getting a rattle from the actual cover but ever since I got new ones on their the gap was present.

One piece of advise - use black or clear double sided tape. I used the normal colored one and it doesnt look good in the day time from the outside.
So whenever I wash my car i see all the gross dust and dirt accumulate so tape would be noticeable.

Also its a light tint but when I get it done before summer will go for much darker
I dont want to see this bleed affect as it always catches my eye at night when I look back to brake. Sort of a distraction lol

Geez, my 3rd light has been like this ever since I got my car tinted way back when I first got it. Really freakin annoying when you tend to look at your rear view mirror, even more worst is when other drivers stare at your 3rd brake light and goes.."WTH is wrong with this Acura?"
Sorry, ranted - I tried putting on some double sided tape but didn't work out as I thought. I'm still able to see the brake bleed. Are there any tips on removing the cover to apply the tape? Or did you just apply tape along the inner cover? Any help on the tapping process would be great!

Regarding the taping I would recommend buying black double sided tape cause you can see it from the outside depending how dark your tint is. I basically layered the tape on the rubber seal part and got it pretty thick. I dont know any other way to tape it case the cover is hollow and there isnt a flat part to secure the tape - thats why mine is slowly drooping.
If it were me I would stick the tape on the window side, not the rubber side of the light cover. Tape won't stick to rubber, but it'll have no problem sticking to glass. The only thing is you have to measure exactly where the rubber is going to contact the glass, shouldn't be hard though.
