FINALLY got my TL!!!!

I bet most of you guys are tired of seeing these threads on people annocing their new TL but, I am too excited not to post!!! I actually picked it up Thursday night and I haven't had a chance to post untill now. I have been spending pleanty of quality time with my new baby. I can't believe this car. I thought I knew what I was getting into after reading a ton of posts and checking out all the pictures. I quickly found out there is nothing like having one of your own. I have been finding excuses for running meaningless erands, I find myself parking out in the boonies just to avoid other cars, I almost cried when I had to valet my car at dinner the other night, I have actually "inspected" people before letting them enter the car. Hello my name is Jim and I'm a TL addict.

BTW yesterday I had the xpel clear bra put on my car and it is absoulty awsome. You can barely see the line and it absoluty removes any stress from worrying about rock chips. Well worth it in my opinion.

Thanks for everyones help here in choosing a great car!!

Jim

Oh no, a valet parked your car? Bad.. not a good thing at all. Do go back to that restaurant.

Congratulations!

I got my X-Pel clear bra last week. It's great. A few little dust particles and a couple of finger prints... But black shows everything.

SouthernBoy,

I wouldn't but it's my gf's favorite restaurant - Joe's Crab Shack.

joganjani,

I got the AM/5AT/Navi

Xpditor,

I'm really happy with the clear bra but there is this "smudge" about the size of a quater on the hood. Any idea what that could be?

Thanks for all the congrats!!

Jim

It's probably a smudge! :P Could be a fingerprint or a moisture bubble. If you just leave it alone and let the Florida sun do its work, it will go away within a week. Some take longer- like a month. Mine are almost all gone after 2 weeks.

After a week, you can wash and wax your car and bra. (Or Zaino, in my case).

Mine looks good after Zaino. I will get a pic one of these days and post it.

To tlguy99;

Then consider using her car or maybe renting one. I made the mistake once in my life o letting a valet park my car in a lot in D.C. to see a movie with my girl friend at the time. It had a manual transmission (of couse) and when we went to get the car, I could her him coming up the inclines in the garage with lots of throttle and riding the clutch because the idiot WAS IN THIRD GEAR AND DIDN'T HAVE THE SENSE TO KNOW IT!!

My car take precedence over any convenience me or my wife might wish for. Cars don't heal themselves. That's why I park far away from other cars and/or in a protected location. Walking never hurt anyone. What can I say.. I'm anal when it comes to my car.

My wife hates it when I do that in my NSX. I'm sure to do it in the TL also.

Congrats on the new TL. I recently got mine a few weeks ago too and just love driving it. I must say reading about it and driving it are two completely different things! I'm probably just as paranoid, I park away from everyone else and try to pick corner spots where only one car can sit beside me and the other side is grass or the curb.
