Fair estimate for motor mount install?
Fair estimate for motor mount install?
I know someone that does side work at Acura and he quoted me $100 for the rear mount or $160 for all the mounts, is this worth it? I still have to pay for the mounts so this will be like a $400-450 job. Is it worth it to save $60 and do the front and side myself? Front looks cramped.
No that's not the dealer price, it's a mechanic that works at the dealer, he does it when the dealer closes. Thanks libert for the advice. As for removing the driver side fan do you have enough room to move it out around the passenger side fan and radiator hoses?
im not looking under the hood right now but i dont think you can go that route b/c the precat is in the way. just loosen the 2 bolts under the car that hold the fan in place, unplug the connector and pull the fan up and out. remove the radiator hose and bend it out of the way.

Thanks for the offer but my friend at acura is hooking me up with prices and the dealer is right around the corner. As for removing the radiator hose will alot of fluid leak out? So I assume I'll save $60 and do the front and side myself, hell I might even do the rear, have any tips on that?
im pretty sure you dont need to mess with the radiator hose. i've done motor mounts before. just remove the radiator fans for extra room and then use a variety of extensions and sockets to get the front motor mount out.
side one, takes 5 min, self explanatory.
rear....PITA. unless you have some 24" extensions and a lot of patience, i would leave it to a shop.
