Extended Warranty

I was wondering can you buy a warranty on an used TL from an Acura dealership if it wasnt purchased from an Acura dealership or maybe just from that dealership that you buy it from. I am going to buy a used one in a couple of months and just in case i find one for a better price than what an Acura dealership will offer it to me for i wanna be able to have an extended warranty. I know which ever one i buy i will buy wit a low amount of miles on it but i am thinking more for the long run since i am sure i will probably drive the hell out of it when i get it and have it for a while. Reading what you all have said about it and the test drive that i had i can already tell i am going to love driving and playing with it. Plus i put a hell of alot of miles on my last car(90000 in 5 years, i was younger though and gas was cheaper so i drove around needlessly now i have a son and reponsibilities so i will be spending more time with work school and him). On my last new car that i had the warranty was great and it came in handy plenty of times and since it expired at 36000 miles it seems like thats when more problems want to occur. Working in sales you see where a warranty can come in handy in MANY situations. So if anyone can help me thank you in advance.

Well, I work for a Nissan dealership, and I know that if someone wants to come in and purchase an extended warranty, they can but we just have to do a certification test thing on their car. I don't know how it works for Acura though...They make money off selling warranties, I don't know why they wouldn't want to sell ya one....wouldn't hurt to take a minute and call?

If you buy a used Acura with less then 6000 miles you can get a good price from Ray Laks Acura. They sell the factory warrenty for Honda and Acura. The prices are listed in their on line store. There is also a toll free number to call on the site.

His prices are great. I bought new, and my dealer was willing to match his price. All else fails, just google acura care warranty. Since when has google become a verb?

I did the same thing with my dealer. I couldn't quite get him down that far. I paid $100 over the internet price. You're good!

I've closed the deal on my 06 TL ( RRP / Camel / Nav ) and I'll be picking it up later today. When I asked about the extended warranty he quoted a price of $1900.00 for 7 yr / 100,000 mile warranty. Your thoughts?

I got the 7yr/100,000 $0 deductable from Valencia Acura last month. I paid $1300.00. Check the web site in the previous posts. If they don't come down, buy it from hondacuraworld.com.

I got screwed... In FL we cant buy the ext warranty out of state, and the prices are fairly set because how the law is they cant play around with it...

Anyway I paid 1900 for 7yr 120k mile warranty but got to finance w/ 0% for 12 months... $0 deductable

So mine seems to be longer than most peoples but now feels not worth it for that big of a jump. and I hate the FL thing how we cant get warranty out of state from dealer... oh well.
