Direct quote from the ebay post:
"much more better than"
Holy fucked up use of the English language Batman...
Speaking of English and Grammar rules... Damn - that alone would keep me from buying from them...
Questions from other buyers
Q: what is the difference between a A class hood and a B class hood answered on: Sep-15-04
A: a Grade A hood quality is much more better than a Grade B hood. Grade B will have alot of flaw on the hood for example if might have cracks on the clear...more
Ask seller a question

Why would anyone put a CF hood on their car. This is a serious question, I don't get the point. Is it weight loss (these are pretty light), or is it looks?

I think only a few manufacturers (mostly Japanese companies ie Cwest, ect.) produce hoods that are made entirely of CF. They can be as much as 75% lighter than their OEM counterparts. They do cost an arm and a leg though.

The description says it uses the original steel skeleton so my guess is that there is almost no weight savings. Must be for looks then and painting it would defeat the purpose.
For the emblem and satin border....glue.

I don't care if it is for weight savings, how much could you save by getting the CF hood? Let's say it saves you 50 lbs (overestimate). You still have a ~3400 lb. FWD sedan. There are better vehicles to make into a lighter, more agile race machine...the TL is not one of them. Even if it was, the CF hood is only necessary once you have gone all out with the other weight-saving techniques (i.e. lighter wheels, gutting your interior, take out the air conditioning, the audio equipment, the soundproofing, etc. etc.)
On a TL, I hope never to see one with a CF hood and the owner claiming "weight savings". If it was just for "looks"...I can let that go, because people like different looks. But to save weight on a TL? Ugh.

I am a Carbon Fiber Hood Manufacturer
Hi,
I work with Custom Carbons and I helped install the TL on that car you have shown above. This TL is the most fixed up one i have seen to date and we were able to put on the hood with little or no adjustments. The owner of the car owns a sticker/decal shop in the area and they did a lot of customized work on the car. One of the main things is the LV interior and 20" chrome rims along with injen intake.
I have more pics if you guys want to see more pics of the car.
Anyway, the hood looked real good on that car and if any more TL owners are interested, feel free to contact me and maybe we can setup a group buy or something.
Thanks,
Gary

i think the hood would look good on a white tl that has the oem body kit. The black on the kit will match the hood. Also the hood being the shape that it is, reminds me of when people paint the outer edges of the carbon fibre hood.

The hood looks like shit but thanks for the picture showing the proper installation of the tow hook.
Thank God it's on anthracite . No self-respecting ABP-owner would do that to his car.

Back to the topic:
Anyone know how much weight this thing actually saves? This has now become an intellectual problem for me...I'm trying to understand the "why" of installing one.
