Dude wtf

Came outside to my car this morning and this is what I see

Did someone jack my door handle plastic piece?? Or did it fall off??

Either way, WTF???

Anyway, which part do I need?

Part # 72644-SEP-A01ZB or 72684-SEP-A01ZB

#22 or #33 from here

If not you will need part # 22, and possibly #33 if yours is broken and didnt just pop off.

Very common issue. There is a TSB for this exact problem. Dealers should be familiar with this, it's pretty common and a quick fix. I was just at the dealer a few weeks ago for this. Call them up with your color code and schedule an appointment.

Oh... if there was a TSB for this, does it mean its covered?

I have a 20% off coupon for parts at my dealership that expires 12/5. Feels like a waste if I use it on this...

Yeah they come off really easy. The small plastic clip breaks, then it falls off, fragile design. If your car is under warranty, it's free. It's so common and cheap I would imagine they would good will it too.

same thing happend to me 2 weeks ago except it was on my back door! I had to pay more for shipping than the actual part! I was so pissed I actually drove up and down my road looking for it!

I feel your pain. Happened to me about a month ago. I think WTF were my exact words also! I had to order the part since the dealer didn't have it. And of course after I ordered it, the dealer calls to say they located one. So now I have an extra in case it happens again.

Nah my dealership is good with warranty stuff... they are good with good-willing stuff too so we shall see.

If not, I got some

connections at another large dealership in the Chicagoland area and will get the hook up there... I just hate making the drive

So... finally got around to getting this fixed.

My dealership wanted to charge me $41 after the fact... so I spoke to my service tech, telling them that other dealerships would've goodwilled this part to me (yes, I'm sure) but I chose to go to "my" dealership. She waived the charge almost instantly.

for Muller's Woodfield Acura!
