Drove Lexus IS350 today

I still prefer my 05 TL more standard equipment and more interior room, especially the rear seats, and the IS350 did not feel that much faster.

I thought the 350 was beast in power. And isnt it an AWD? Well glad to know that the TL still has fighting power compared to the 350

Fulani - Are you getting the Lexus and the Infinit mixed up? The Infiniti G-series has the AWD. On the Lexus, only the IS250 is available in AWD. While the Lexus IS350 does have a fair amount of HP @ 306 compared to our 286 (Note: Lexus still uses the older measurement so to be fair we need to reference the older measurement for the TL as well and that's 286) but on that model it's RWD only. It also prices out @ $41,885 MSRP so for that price you could easily buy a TL-S (with essentially the same HP when the same measurements are used) for less money. The IS is also smaller on the inside. As are all Lexus', it is a nice car.....at a SIGNIFICANT premium.

The IS is much too small for my taste. And those options can add up in a hurry.

the old TL rating ws 270, the new TL-S is 286, the current base TL is 258.

Still, using the old rating, the IS has 36 more HP (306 vs 270) but yes, it is much smaller, and not worth the price jump IMHO. Plus, lexus dealerships seem to be less willing to negotiate.

The is350 is a really nice car. It should be faster than our TL's, I think 0-60 its about 5.6 +/-.

I would still take my old '05 A-Spec over an IS350 any day.
