Is it a good kit or a no go?
I tried searching but couldnt find anything on drl kits

Yeah motoring max is "ijdmtoy" on eBay some times cheaper to order direct I believe there coupon code was "gojdm" for 10% off

 

It's actually cheaper on ebay by a few bucks plus free shipping.
Im just worried about the reliability of their kit.

 

I have been running that kit for a couple weeks now. Other than the connectors on the kit not being the 9005 style. I had some extras laying around and emailed them about it so hopefully they will fix it.

Otherwise it has worked fine and is a pretty good kit.

Good luck I enjoy this mod. I recently changed to 5k lights instead of the included 6k's.

 

Yea Im kinda iffy about buying this kit. I'll be calling them tomorrow with a few questions.

 

I've had mine for maybe 2 months or so. Never one problem. Easy install, no DRL dash light, and match my switchbacks nicely.

 

Did you run into the same problem like sauceja did with the connectors not being 9005

I did the write up that sapanpatel123 linked above. Install was pretty easy and I didn't have any problems with receiving a kit with non 9005 connectors, I don't think KJ TL-S did either. However, it seems like the last couple of guys that ordered the kit did. I don't what the deal with that is. I think it is a good idea calling them just to verify you receive the correct harness and I would make them aware that some guys on here had to modify their harness' because the incorrect connector was in place.

 

Yes! I Read that entire thread. What a great diy/write up, that's what pushed me on getting led drl's. I'll be calling them tomorrow about that connector issue.

The machine is right, I had no issues with the connectors.

 

I did but I had some other hid fog relay harness connectors laying around so for me it was an immediate fix once I found the problem.

I am still in communication with ijdm to get this resolved and sent them a link of machines write-up thread so hopefully they know people are getting wrong stuff and talking about it to others.

I still recommend this kit and enjoy mine.

 

V-LEDS can put together a kit for you if you email them. That's what I did, I got them in 5000K, super bright and no dash light.
