Does your door...

Hi there does your door easily stay at the most open position?
I seem to have to struggle to get the door to stay open at it's most open.
I am sure I would have a very difficulf time in a place like San Francisco with the door like it is.
I beleive that the door should open and stay open in both door open positions.
What do you think?
Sofar I love my Tl It is a very nice car.

The doors are sort of made to close by themselves. There's been many incidents reported by members of doors closing on legs.

Door checks made by Honda really don't work very well. Been that way for years. Mine stays open at full travel pretty well, but no where else. I live with it. hell, I've got 15 years of dealing with it, so it doesn't really bother me.

Wow, I thought it was just me. I often swing the door open and reach for something in my passenger seat just before I get out and the door either breaks my leg or it shuts in my face!!

From what I realized (by trial and error) is if there is any motion applied to the door it will end up closing by itself.. To make sure that it does not close, when I open it I make sure that it doesn't move before I let go of the handle..

My feelings are mixed about this, though. Kinda cool that little pressure needs to be applied to close the door, but on the other hand always need to be looking out for legs and fingers

I do not like this either...the problem is not the door closing on me, rather, it is a problem when I have other people in my car, and when then try to close the door. Despite me telling then to go easy, there is always a loud bang when they close it....when I need to close the door, I just barely move it and it closes without a loud thud....

I too make sure the door is static before I let go of the handle, so the door does not shut on me....and another note, there are three positions where the door can rest, not two...
