I searched and could not find. How can you stop the annoying beeping sound while the key is in the ignition and the door is open? There are times when I'd like to have the car doors open to listen to music but that annoying beeping ruins it.

Does this bother anyone else?

 

If you find a way to disable the beep, you will be bitching about how you locked the door with your key inside. Just live with it.

 

i thought if you have the key all the way forward just before ignition (ON (II) ?) position it would go off after a few beeps, ive done this i thought while detailing the interior, ill have to check to make sure i just didnt have the radio louder than the beep!

 

if you do put it to ON 2, make sure to turn off all lights and air conditioning so you dont kill your battery...

There's no way you can lock your key in this car while it's in the ignition. It won't let you push the door locks down manually or with the door locks. I just tried it. I also left the keys in the ignition for a few minutes and it did not lock the doors. Unlike a Nissan I had years ago that let me lock the doors while the engine was running.

The beeps will go off only if you close the driver side door.
