Difference between A-Spec and Standard Bodykit

I might be blind but the pics I see between the A-Spec kit (just exterior body) and the Front, Side, Rear Underbody Spoilers don't seem that different to me from all the pics. When you "build" your TL on the Acura site, if you attach on all these parts, they look identical to the A-Spec kit. I thought they were different...? Can someone please explain to me the difference in the bodykits between the two? Thanks.

he's talking about strictly the bodykits, not the suspension, steering wheel, wheels that come with the A-spec package

The bodykit and wheels are not A-Spec parts really. They are optional parts. People call it the A-Spec kit, that is the only difference.

The actual A-Spec specific parts are:
1. The suspension
2. The steering wheel
3. The brake pads for AT models
4. The badge

The dealer installed A-Spec "kit" includes items 1-4 AND the OEM body kit and wheels.

To give you the short answer to your question:
A-Spec ground effects = OEM ground effects. They are one and the same.

Hi guys, thanks. I wanted to make sure I wasn't blind. If that's the case, what costs so much in the A-Spec package? The bodykit ~$1.5K installed, suspension should be ~$700 plus installation.... why is it a $7K package?

It should be more like a 4-5K package, if the dealer is charging 7K its a rip...

A-spec
Body kit
wing/lip spoiler
wheels
steering wheel
suspension
brake pads (5AT only)

oh ya...definitely a rip-off at that price...the dealer is making shit load of $$$ just for the labor...you're probably better off getting the parts separately and then having them installed (but then again, the whole warranty thing becomes an issue)...but try to bargain like 2k lower...see what happens...i'm sure that making money on the car is more important than the accessories, so give it a shot...bargain!!!
