DEPO Type-S just in

Well, Fed-ex just dropped off my DEPO Type-S taillights. Initial opinion is not good. They are not packaged very well to prevent damage. One of the threaded mounting posts is bent one one, and there is something rattling in the other. They look pretty good, but there is a little bit of manufacturing trash in them (only noticeable up close)... Gonna try to bend the post back, do some extra sealing on the housing (as i do on ALL aftermarket lense housings) and hopefully get them mounted tomorrow.

I only paid $116, so I know not to expect perfection, but they could have done better clean-up, and packaged them better...

That sucks.

Mine were packaged nicely, in a plastic sleeve and thick bubble wrap, and the box was a tight fit so they didn't have much room to move.

Mine had the same but those posts rest directly against the cardboard... just not smart... They actually poked holes thru the cardboard.

The trash in the light wouldn't bother me as I don't think anyone would ever notice it. I'm more curious about the rattle in the light. You can't expect them to be perfect since they were roughly half the price as OEM.

if they were not as described you can get your money back and if they give you any trouble, open a case with ebay and if they don't then ebay will force the refund to you. I know. It happened to me this year. The seller would not communicate and they shipped me something that someone else had already returned to them. Basically, some fog lights had screws that were stripped and 1 bulb was rattling and it would not illuminate. So, eBay refunded 100% of the fog lights including shipping. Ebay is taking care of their customers.

Just transfer your old gaskets over to the new taillights and you're set to go. I've reused mine a lot. I finally bought some for the last set of tails I customized because my old gaskets ended up tearing.

Got mine off ebay as well, they came like Austin described. Everything was packaged nicely, bought from fishcake. Great seller.

manufacturer 1 year warranty... we'll see. I was gonna do extra sealer around the housing in the little channel but since the clear part of the lense can be seen, it looked funny, so I wiped the sealer back off. Some people say the lenses are dull compared to the factory ones. They are not dull, just a darker shade of red.

By the way. I used 1 small flat head screwdriver, 1/4 drive ratchet with 6" extension, 1 10mm socket, and 1 8mm deep socket, 8mm wrench, angled screwdriver, normal length phillips screwdriver, and a trim tool (the little forked tool.. not neccessary but handy)...

Good to know on that warrenty. Ill def be getting some now. I do plan on going with the smoke/gray on ebay. As long as I can find the same seller which support that warrenty, then Im good to go with em also. Fitment seems pretty damn goo honestly.
