If it's like the 4G TL. There is a little plastic piece that pops off on the bottom. Then take a flat head screwdriver or your finger and push down the metal tab and the pedal should slide towards you/driver's seat.

Nevermind. The 3G TL is different but the idea is the same. I mean at the base of the pedal. Behind it there is a tab, push that in and pull the pedal up. Like this then just let the pedal hang while you pull the carpet out.

bottom piece of the pedal broke

what do i do if when i was pressing on the tab behind the pedal, trying to pull it out, and the bottom of the pedal broke? now i just have a loose, flimsy gas pedal. im not looking to pay over 250 for a new pedal (i called the dealer, and they said they have to order it from california just like you) especially when its the rubberized part that ripped... anyway i can fix it? or get an after market or universal pedal that would work??
