im torn

I am torn, need some expert advice. I have a WDP 06, black rims and soon black roof. I am torn between getting black bezels and black headlights or WDP matched head and tails.

Thoughts?

This is the frosted cover that NEEDs to be removed IMO:

The difference is NIGHT AND DAY!
I had a thought when I was making my tail lights myself a few months back...
What if you drill the circles in the frosted lens? The concentric rings are placed over the LEDs which help diffuse the light. So, perhaps instead of removing the frost lens all-together would drilling the rings give the same desired look?

I thought about doing this... but I only had one pair of frosted-lens to work with.

I figure if doing this works (keeping the frosted-lens with the drilled-rings) then it could resolve the issue of "seeing through" the tail-light housing/lens and into the housing itself.

The lights "bounce" off of that lens so cutting out holes will just be extra work to see the LEDs IMO. I can be wrong but it just seems that would happen.

I would get black headlights and white with black tail lights to set it off. Something like this with a black bezel and white flaked inserts. Or white bezel with black inserts.

Thanks for the response Ack...makes me feel better to know that if YOU had a hard time with it, it wasn't just the fact that I'm a CF vinyl wrap noob.

About the WDP...I think the contrast is nice...
IMO,
Do the color matched WDP bezel and the tails with the wdp bezel
or blacked out front AND back.

Any pics of the WDP tails on the car? They look awesome and I'm really considering them but I need to see them on the car first.
Thanks

I haven't installed them yet as the customer is a busy guy and still haven't had a chance to come. I do have a picture I found of the same style on a WDP TL. I will post it in a bit.

I would need the base tail lights for the clear internals or I can use a set I have and just add $70.

This is my favourite set. They are on the money pit's list. Maybe this summer. What would it look like without the white diffuser? Would the LED boards look too...I dunno, industrial?

If you were to remove the diffuser you would see the frost piece first.

Thank you. If you didn't see, I do custom headlights and tail lights. If you are local to NJ I install them for a small fee and also do other custom installs such as the Accord fog lights and also sell the OEM glass Accord fog kits.

I have a rough draft of the next thread, but I keep on doing new styles that I would hate to make a huge thread, then forget to add something so its taking time to make sure its perfect.

If you can make a set exactly like these please PM me a price. I have a 2007 base.
I like them because they are not too smoked. They look perfect to me on a NBP.

Thanks to Sharksbreath for letting me borrow his pictures even though I didn't ask.

Hey. Yes I can. Like these I did for another customer? But these have smoked tint on the bottom and the middle brake diffuser lightly tinted.

If you do any of this sort of work and have experience PLEASE let me know. I'd be very interested to get something done. I've been looking to have this done for a yr now but the only guy I know who does it on this site lives somewhere up in Boston and I don't know how to uninstall or install the lights. You live right in Jersey so thats really convenient.
How much does that and some halos cost?

Just that to a stock headlight? Did you want them blacked out and cleared or just cleared as well?

Halos I will give you a site to order them from and LEDs you will have to send them to me. I can only recommend LED's because there is no telling when they will stop working and I don't want to be responsible if one goes out and it needs to be replaced. I usually recommend staying away from them, but I know a site that has a good warrantee and track record.

Yes. Both LEDs and halos are inside of the headlight assembly.

^ Thank you for the help, but I mentioned those are color changing halos a customer sent me to install so he probably got a little confused. I appreciate you helping me though.

Yes, those are color changing Halos, with both installed on an 04-06 with a custom bracket.

I just got a light from Bruce since someone crashed into the back on my car. His work is excellent, he pays great attention to detail in working on these lights and has excellent customer service. I will have him work on all my lights.

Highly recommended from a long time azine member!

Msala, where the hell have you been? Haven't seen you on the forums or any local meets. Demon eyes still going strong?!?

I agree, Bruce does excellent work. I tried my hand at the tails...but I wasn't satisfied (lucky it was a throwaway set). If I ever do it again, I'll send to him.
