is that a BLACK bulb? i don't want any yellow in mine so what should i get?

 

^^ Well you have two choices, you can either get the switchback bulbs which shine white when parking light is on and amber when you use your turn signal, or you can get chrome coated bulbs that shine amber like your factory ones do but are coated chrome to blend in with the rest of the chrome in the headlight.

Well are you planning on sending your headlights in or do you want to be on the list for the trade in program?

For Halos you'd have to buy them and have them shipped to me and for switchbacks you'd have to install them when you are installing your headlights. Switch backs can be bought from http://autolumination.com.

 

^^I definitely want the switchbacks, but that is the most NON-user-friendly website I've seen since the 90's and I can't find it.

Well if you live in Canada then you'd have to send your headlights in for the work since CDM headlights are a bit different than the USDM headlights. Halo kit is $115 shipped, I install them free of charge when I clear/blackout the headlights so your end cost would be $150 plus shipping cost.

 

really?? they are kinda different? do u know how much will a pair of headlight cost?? so thats mean i cant drive my car during that period of time .

 

Well the CDN headlights have DRL opening rather than foglight opening for 04-06 headlights where as the USDM ones have foglights. I hate to say it but yes your car will be out of commission for the time that it would take me to do them and send them back to you.

 

 

Hey my acura 08 tl is a lease and i have 3 years still, i just got the rear badges removed and i was just wondering how i would go about getting a spare set of i guess lenses or headlights and what i would do to have them clear like you've shown in some of the pictures and cost if you could inform me...

 

Check the first post in this thread for details on trade in program. You dont have to get a spare set if you dont want to, you can just get the current ones modified. If you opt for the trade in program then you wont have to put your car out of commission any longer than the time it takes to swap headlights.

 

Hey JnC, I think I'm going to finally get around to sending my headlights to you next week. You still have all my stuff right?

I have use of another vehicle for about a weeks time so once I send them I'll decide how quick I want them shipped back. Overnight shipping across continent and over the border isn't cheap.

JnC how would you wire up the halos on an 04 so that i'd be able to turn on without the the main beam on

My suggestion is to wire them up separate using a harness and trigger from parking lights. Use harness in conjunction with the switch to wire them so that you can turn them on when the parking lights are on, this will insure that once you turn the parking lights off they will go off as well and you can independently control them once the switch is in use. Harness will insure that you dont burn your ballasts. Harness can be used with a 5A fuse ( I think that should be sufficient).

 

3zero/timb24 -- all depends on how soon I get the other headlights back from other members. I have 4 sets (04-05) headlights in circulation as we speak and am in the process of getting a 5th and 6th set within the next few days. If all goes well then the list will be done with within a month.
