Comparing the back end of TL and M35, which one is less ugly?
The M is a maxima like our car is an accord. as nice as the current models r, I think they both got fat and pudgy and the one b4 looks more classy. The changes for both are similar especially the trunk which is higher, shorter, & has the license plate in it. I'm thinking if the M is in ur price range then u wont b contemplating on the TL. But dont 4get to add around $10,000 to the base price on the M cuz u cant just add one option a la carte, you have to get a whole package. I looked @ an M35 sport with the aero kit and journey & tech package & it was almost mid 50's but that was last summer just when they just hit the showroom
When it comes to design there is no enthusiasm free opinion. Good design dictates that the M tail lights should not overflow into the trunk lid bottom section. Or is that considered edgy? Also the dual tail light colors are distracting. Then there is that M bumper which is very heavy and almost bulbous. The TL also had to deal with a lot of bumper but they kept it a lot leaner, especially by incorporating the dual exhaust tips into the bottom section. Very neat. There you have it- straight from the Pasadena Art Design Studio...not really.

The TL's Infiniti counterpart by default (since the I35 was discontinued) is the G35S/X.
I actually had someone in a parking lot tell me that my TL "had a nice ass". All of us there at the time agreed. It has an incredibly good ass !
TL Hands down-over the M. The simple, understated tail lights part of the reason. I hate the current trends to more silvery and orange insets.
IHMO the TL has "got it all goin' on" from a looks standpoint. Front, back and sides. Never had a car before that didn't have a bad side.

The TL backside is sexier but I ain't gonna hate on the M - its does look nice as a whole. I exchanged cars with my buddy the other day and as he was driving off in my TL I was like 'dang that has got to be the sexiest car on the road.' Needless to say a few hours later as I was asking him when I could get my whip back. His is a burnt orange Mazda 6S. Btw F23A4, love ur avatar. LOL.

I think the TL has a better looking tail end than the M... The M is nice but I like the TL better.

The TL. There is no better feeling then seeing a white diamond pearl 3gTL in front of thats braking..... You see that bright redlight shine like a christmas tree.. You sit back... relax... smile.. and say, yea.... Thats my bitch.. the guy behind me is probably thinking the same thing as he sees my car.
For some reason in pics, the M's rear tailights look big, but when i see it in person on the road, it looks very proportional to the rest of the car. I would have to say i like the M's rear more. The TL's looks nice on certain colors, like white

Either round exhaust tip (2gen TL) or ellipsed tip (2Gen CL) looks good, but the trapzoid tip (I call that irregular shape) looks like the car just had some accident or it is a manufacture defect.
Also, you can clearly see the thing exhaust pipe's end in the center of that exhaust finisher, which makes it look really cheap! ( Like the fake quad exhaust tip on a Pontiac Bonneville)
The M-45 is in my sights as a possible next purchase.
Ultimately I wanna end up with a Vette.

Sorry...mini thread jack there!!
But of the two, the TL has the best ass hands down.
In fact you can take alot from the TL but its overall design beats just about any oother sedan out there, no question!
Just my

I think the Infiniti sedans are all just plain in design...
how can the the infiniti look plain when it has 2 circular LED's and a complex light setup. the tl has like little pointy rectangles with 2 lines of leds. im not sayin TL is ugly but the basis of the infiniti being plain =

The M is more to my liking than the TL but, not by much.
