Clutch fluid change

I ordered some brake fluid to replace old clutch fluid. Can you just empty reservoir and refill without bleeding system? I don’t want to get air in system since I’m not familiar with it.

you can't run it dry without bleeding the system.

Just suck our most of what in the reservoir, drive a few city miles. Repeat 1/2 times more and you have changed the the fluidmentirely.

Just don’t suck out all the fluid at once or it may introduce bubbles.

Good input that’s what I’m going to do now. I believe you can do the brake fluid the same. I got gm fluids on the way for transmission change too. Thanks!!

If you suck the fluid out and then go for a drive, you will now have air in the system.

I would suck all the fluid out. Then do a 1 man bleed with an old bottle and a piece of vacuum hose.

Watch some youtube vids on this. Its easy.

You don’t suck it All out.

You replace what you sucked out Before driving.

I just finished changing trans fluid and what a difference it made!!! 3rd gear like butter now! Old fluid was clear as water and stunk up garage lol.Chaned oil Mobil synthetic and reset oil life also. Wandering how Acura set up their oil life if it was for mileage or how you drive it? With synthetic should I go through an extra oil cycle???

What kind of M1 synthetic did you put in the trans?

Generally, synthetic MOTOR oil isn't a good idea for a transmission.

AC Delco synchro FM makes a day and night difference in shifting lol, even my mechanic admit the Honda MTF wouldn't make the 6 spd shifting smooth as the FM.
