Climate Control Issue

Hi to all,

Now It might be just me being a little slow or challenged in some way but I seem to be having a difficult time understanding the logic behind this.

The ''DUAL'' button on the left side of my navi screen, from what I gather is supposed to control whether I want the temperature and mode to be control at the same time for the driver and passenger side of the vehicle.

When I press this button, the little green light in the actual button lights up, I suppose this means that the function is activatedand that if I change the temperature I will change on both the passenger and the driver's side. However this does not seem to be the case.

In order for the temperature and mode to change on both sides at the same time, I have to press the button again and the green light inside the btton has to be turned off.

Is it just me not understanding this concept or is there something wired backwards ?

Please keep in mind that this is my first car with so many buttons...

Thanks

You've got it kind of backwards. When the button is not lit, pressing your temperature control will change the temperature on both sides simultaneously, but when the button is lit, only one side will change and that is the one for which the temperature control buttons are pressed.

The auto function will control the temperature on both sides at the same time.

Pressing the dual button defeats this programming and allows you to control your side if you manually press the dual button.

If the button is not lit and the passenger adjusts their temperature manually, the button will light, and their temperature will change but not yours.

Actually, you don't even need to hit the dual button to have different settings for the passenger. Just change the temperature with the right-sided buttons and the dual mode is set and the light turns on.
