I got my acura integra done at Mr. Kustom on Irving park road. They did a real good job on all windows for $125. This was the driver and passenger, back windows, and rear glass. They did a great job. I don't think it would cost more than $200. I live in the city but go to the burbs every now and then. The cops in the burbs have nothing to do but write tickets even if your car is parked. I wouldn't get the driver and passenger sides done if I were you. Also it is illegal. I know it looks nice having all windows tinted but the tickets got to me. I also had 30% tints done. I have the 04 TL black on black right now and don't plan on tinting. Let me know if this helps

i know people that have tints in the front, they just take a picture of the car before tint and when they go to court the ticket gets thrown out or reduced cause you supposedly got it removed... also my friend's uncle has a slip for a "skin condition" that was diagnosed by a doctor (friend no doubt) that would allow the tint to be there... the condition was called Solaris... I know a few doctors, so maybe I can get a hook up on that... I was thinking 50% all around so its not TOO dark... maybe 35%, we'll see.. I just need a place that doesnt use metallic tint... since i have Navi

I got mine done at Auto Glass Only in Des Plaines. I paid $290 for back and front and rear side windows (rear-50%, sides-35%)

I got mine done at Z-Tech (formerly known as Ziebart), and I went with 20% in the rears, and 35% up front, same as I had them do on my previous TL-S. They do a great job and guarantee their work.

I paid $249.99 plus tax. It's a little more now that it's closer to summer .. probably around $279.00

Any other recommendations out there for Chicagoland tinters? I called the 2 shops in my area recommended by the local luxury-brand dealers (Audi/BMW/Lexus/Mercedes) and neither one of them had heard of ceramic tint or moleskin felt. One only installed Solarguard dyed tint and the other Matco (sp?) metallic tint. They both copped serious attitudes when I asked them questions about the tint they used and their use of moleskin. "No one else asks/cares what tint we use as long as we do a good job." or "What the heck is moleskin used for? Never heard of it, dude." Needless to say, I won't be taking my new TL to them to work on. I'm out in the Aurora/Naperville area and ideally looking for someone to install Formulaone Pinnacle Ceramic but don't know how realistic that is going to be....

I went to umbra, its part of Renn Art bmw performace store. here is thier website, http://www.umbrawindowtinting.com they have a pic of a TL-S in the gallery. Ask for Nino, he is cool guy charged 190 for all around 35% carbon and got the whole quarter window too. You will see some bad ass BMW there to.

There aren't as many tinters as there should be in Chicagoland. I waited till I moved to the east coast to tint my ride. Be careful, they are very strict about tint out there. I wasn't about to get away with it. I lived downtown and cops are everywhere. As said they even ticket your car if you're parked!!! Never heard of that anywhere else! Anyone I know out there who has tinted their car has gotten caught and has had to have it stripped off!

In Naperville, there is a small place called express glass on Ogden. The guy that does the tinting there has been doing it for like 30 years. He does an excellent job and uses high quality film. You'll frequently see porsche's, lambo's and other exotic cars there. Hands down one of the best in the area. I did my old car at ztech and it looked good. My brother also did his at ztech, but his has scratches now.

Also when I called up ztech and other places after I got my car, they had no idea what moleskin was. The guy at express glass not only knew what it was, he said he HAD to use it, will not cut the insulation because that causes road noise, and that he will get the tint all the way in that quarter window. That was the answer I got when I asked if he knew what mole skin was.

You do realize just to go to court costs like $180 bucks? LOL A simple tint ticket is $75 bucks why would you go to court and have to pay $180 in court fees to get a $75 ticket dropped. Dont make much sense to me. Atleast I think thats right and how it was when I had to go to court for a speeding ticket.

Also, I personally think cars look goofy when you get darker tint on the rears and lighter up front . Either do all the same percentage or no tint at all. Having a lighter percentage up front aint gonna get you out of any tickets.

I got several cars done at a place in Naperville on Ogden called Ztech. They do good work.
