Check out my MPG

I'm finally at 82,000 miles on my 2006 WDP 5AT non-navi TL. I did a thorough Seafoam cleaning, changed my plugs (NGK Laser Iridium), changed my oil (Mobil 1), and put a new filter on my AEM CAI. I think she runs better now than when I first got her brand new with 9 miles on her. Check out my MPG's. It was 74 degrees out driving on the flat Florida Turnpike. I think it's a big step up from the advertised 29 MPG . It's the second pic of the bunch...(obviously).

It is all driving habits. Drive like an old man and the TL's will give you 30 - 34 MPG on the turnpike. Turn on the A/C, kick it to 75MPH, and watch her did down to 28's.

There are many factors in achieving the best MPG. If your windows open or air conditioner is one it will kill it.

Driving 6 miles at 65MPH will give you that number.

Agreed. Do that for a whole tank, no way it's going to be that high after you stop and idle a few times.

new cars dont get the best mileage- things have to break in and settle with each other to work properly

only true mileage is fillup tank to first click of pump - reset trip meter- when tank empty refill to same first click - miles driven divided by gallons used to refill tank = actual mpg
You can fool the mid easy~

on the freeway, aerodynamics come into play and the ac on is better than windows open drag penalty
Id rather be cool and drop 1 mpg driving at 80--thats why I bought a performance car!

I've never seen more than 20MPG in my TL. I do strictly city driving- averaging at 15-18MPG.

Granted I do have a slight leadfoot, but still.

i have a total leadfoot, if i get 20 im giddy. but i'm 17 with 2 10's in the back and its mostly "city" mileage, so when i do the math it = bleh.
