Most likely tow but I don't know. There were no signs of force entry from any of the sides. They could have had a master key who knows.

I was able to get the car towed but due to the holiday, it will take some time for the adjuster to come. They popped the hood And it was just horrible. They cut the entire front frame off. The side panels you see and headlights are not the ones from my car but from the other. They ripped every single component from the engine bay but left the entire engine and transmission intact. All the tubes and wiring are gone along. What you see from the outside is just a shell bolted together with screws to hold it in place.

There was another white TL that parked 2 blocks away from me with aspec kit. I have not seen his car in over a week

 

WOW, it sounds like someone out there picked up a damaged TL and used your for parts or they crashed theirs. Those mother!@#$%^&! maybe they were dumb enough to leave Vin numbers on the clip they up on your car, i think the bumper has a vin on it. best of luck.

 

Thats pretty much how it went IMO. It's really sad... The motor in this TL was always strong and still young, only 65,000 miles. For the time being, I'm gonna go buy an Integra stick so I can learn how to drive stick better as I want my next car to be manual. Plus its a good beater car. I predict it will get stolen too lol but I only need it for 2 or 3 months so liability it is.

 

wow sorry to see the outcome bro. but insurance should take care of it and you. dont accept anything but totaled. car easily over 10K worth of damage. like stillhere said, go to acura. they'll total it just so they wont have to redo the radio.

 

Allstate came and checked the car out and it was a total loss.

Got her with 43,000 miles in 6/2008, raped and violated at 65,000 miles on 12/2009. I can't say my next car will be another TL, but I will buy another one down the road to mod the shit out of when it matures a bit more.

Most insurance companies dont cover them unless you tell them you did those mods so they can adjust your insurance accordingly. Sorry for say.

 

It looks very amateurish. They left some valuable things like the front air bags. I would agree somebody smashed up theirs and took what they needed, and not what they could sell.

 

Just to give all an update. Allstate concluded their investigation and I am getting $17,000 for the unfortunate loss. Unfortunately, they did not cover my aspec kit but I did not push it further as It took this long to settle.
