It's your car, if you really want them just get them. It sounds like you've already made up your mind. From the feedback you've seen here though from the enthusiast community, don't be surprised if you get a couple of strange looks if you ever go to a meet and you tell people it isn't really a BBK.

In my opinion, you're just covering up the problem and not solving it by putting a cover over it, but like I said it's your car do whatever you want. There's no need to get pissy at other members though when you suggest doing a ricer mod and get honest feedback

Doesn't the a-spec body kit fall into this same category. It doesn't have any performance benefits. Its heavier. People only add it for the looks. I might not be a fan but like others said, there doesn't seem to be a danger to installing these so if you want them try them. I would be interested to see more pics up close and from different angles.

Just as a suggestion, you can also do what I did on my old IS300. My calipers were also rusty and old so I painted them with the G2 kit for a permanent finish and then overlaid Lexus vinyls over top to clean up the look. It didn't look like a BBK but it was very clean and looked like the factory brakes should have. Here are some pictures. I'm sure you can find Acura vinyls like these.

As long as you follow the rules for posting on Acurazine, you will last/be fine. I will agree with you that timb's response to you was off topic to your question and was not necessary. However, I see a trend with you as this thread is not an isolated incident. You start threads, people give you their opinion and then you take it personally. Jessz has been helping you all along with all your questions and you turn around and bash him. Unbelievable.

I can tell you this, if you continue starting threads and/or continue your trend of getting defensive when other members give you their opinion in a thread posted by you in a public forum, I can make your decision of leaving this forum a lot easier.

It's your car, do what makes you happy. You have to take the good with the bad. You can't please 100% of the people 100% of the time. Enjoy the site. Happy modding.

Nobody is getting on anyone's case. This is a public website and therefore not everyone is going to agree with you but it's also called an opinion. The other guy comes in and right off the bat he stated "I took even more shit about them than you from these clowns."

So we got called clowns because he decided to install bbk cover on bbk brakes. You tell me the logic behind that one and I will simply state with all the time and effort it took him to remove the wheels and install covers he could have just sat there and painted them and done it right the 1st time.

If you can't hand what other's say then don't post. I'm surprised your even still allowed here and ggseq hasn't put the ban hammer on you. Drop the attitude, your questions were answered, on the next topic.

I'll do what I can, but again, what 04wdp said was not necessary, I mean, dude, I get it, I read gregsq's post. I just wish people on here would provide CREATIVE critisim as opposed just downing people because they don't like it. Anyways, I guess it's my fault for speaking my mind. My bad, sorry dudes!

Off topic, but if you ask the HMC design team that had their part in the A-spec body kit, the engineers would tell you that according to wind tunnel tests, these pieces will actually create a beneficial downward force on the car in high speeds. Very hard to believe to me, but it was something I read years back in a major automotive magazine when it the A-spec first came out in '04.
