Brakes grab when coming to a stop

I had new pads and rotors installled on my TL Type S about 3 weeks ago and since then I have noticed when I come to a complete stop the brakes feel like they are grabbing harder than they should. It almost feels like I lurch to a stop and I can hear and feel the brakes grab. It sounds and feels like the front brakes. Didn't notice the issue before the new brakes and rotors were installed. I don't have any other issues with the brakes as far as noise or shaking when stopping.

So, what is your specific question? It's going to be hard for anyone to provide input without knowing the product specifications or what you need help with.

-Are you worried that your brakes are grabbing too hard?
-Did you get your brake lines bled ?
-What brand/type of brake pads and rotors did you have before your brake job?
-What brand/type of brake pads and rotors did you get installed?

I think that a little more detail is needed.

Yes, I am worried the brakes are grabbing too hard. Before they changed the brakes I didn't feel the grabbing and actual sound of grabbing that I am experiencing now. I had the brake fluid flushed at the same time they did the brake job so I am guessing they bled the lines. I had OEM pads and rotors before the brake job and I will have to look at my receipt to see what they installed.

could it be because of new meaty pads are grabbing, as opposed to the worn out old pads that didnt ?

It just doesn't feel like a smooth stop when coming to a complete stop...everything to do with stopping before coming to the complete stop feels fine. It feels and sounds like right after you wash your car and your brakes are wet and make the lurch sound when coming to a stop until you use the brakes enough to dry them. Maybe I am just paranoid but it just doesn't feel right.

Why don't you inspect the brakes, or take it back to the shop that did them. Us online can only guess and maybe lead you in the wrong direction.

This was my initial thought as well. However, as recommended, it may be best just to go back to the shop that completed the brake job and ask questions.

Hard to believe that pads would make such a vast difference, but on our '04 the factory brakes were great, no unusual problems, but when they needed replacement years ago, purchased aftermarket pads and the the fronts grabbed in an unbelievable fashion and have done so ever since. Every time I drive the car which isn't too often, I usually put the passenger, the wife, through the windshield on the first slow down, until I remember to feather the pedal. Last week after driving the car, I promised the wife I would replace the pads with OEM units, so ordered them yesterday.

We only put about 2,500 miles a year on the car, so it's not like they have thousands of miles on them, maybe only 10,000.
