It was snowing 3 weeks go and I get problems. First alarm went off randomly but it is solved with disconnecting hood sensor. https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-2...light-1006192/ . At same time BRAKE light turn on but obviously do not have connection with first problem. I did clean switch for brake fluid level and add dielectric grease. What else could be problem, maybe switch for emergency brake I should check? All brake lights are working.

 

When I say brake lights are working mean brake light bulbs are working. But problem is BRAKE warning light is on.

 

A decent obd2 reader will be able to exactly tell you the problem.

 

Went down with my obd2 reader and say "no code". Obd2 can not read BRAKE light in my case. Would be new to me that Obd2 can read BRAKE light on at any car.

 

a decent one. Which obd2 do you have? I have the BlueDriver obd2 reader and it can read my brake codes.

 

My is Innova 3100. I have it I think like 15 years. Will go to part store they can read for free.

 

3 months later same problem exist. Went to car part store a few months go and they say they can not read "BRAKE" code. It is clearly, I can hear it when drive and even feel when put hand at emergency brake handle protection, something detached in that area of emergency brake handle, like some thin wire. Will need to open center console to see what is going on.
Paring brake work for sure I can feel under hand when pull it but wire that connect to switch look detached.

 

I was at junkyard today and sow parking brake switch there, someone removed center console. What is happening is, most likely, screws that hold switch get loose. Not sure is it one or 2 screws as I saw one screw there and look like second is broken.
