Bought 2005 TL Anth/ebony/navi

I bought my new TL today :-D 2005 Anthracite with Ebony - With navi of course.

I wanted a-spec but they tried to screw me once I got there, so I said forget it and got the TL alone :-D

If it wasnt raining and dark out I would post pics. Back to Acura I come!!

Plan to install a-spec suspension, steering wheel, ron jon wheels (inspyre), and some tires - can't decide which ones yet.

Welcome bro, to the Anthracite/Ebony/Navi family? hey did u get 6MT or Auto? I remember you trying to decice between the two on another thread...

I didnt get the A-Spec either because the dealer tried to pull some shady stuff... but each day think of going back again. Wonder how much just the 18" wheels cost ? hmm...

Happy driving!

$32873 /w Navi?? Wow, that is a killer deal considering MSRP is $35,470 and most dealers are charging close to that. What area of the country do you live in?

The dealers all hate me here now.... in a nutshell the normal dealer I buy from refused to negotiate on the price...so I went to another dealer... (I had bought my TSX from them last year) and I said I wanted $32,500 - of course they refused, but then I said I wanted a-spec $3,400 for the body kit, steering wheel, suspension (everythign except wheels and tires) they said ok to that - but we ended up agreeing on $32,873 for the car with the trunk tray, wheel locks, and splash guards.

When I showed up at the dealer I said well forget it I don't want the a-spec (mainly because they attempted to charge me an extra $2000 for it)

So, I go to sign the papers, and the finance manager said it would be 6% interest - HA hilarious on a new car? I said no more than 4% (my credit union offered me 4.45%) so we agreed on 4.19%.

Low and behold, between the time I inspected and drove my actual car, and when I signed the papers.... somebody took the trunk tray out of the car.... I noticed last night when I got home from the dealer.... I called my sales rep and asked why that was, she said she was sorry about the mix up and that it is in her office waiting for me to pickup. But what makes me mad is that I have to drive 45 minutes to go get it, and 45 minutes back. Oh well, I can't really complain, it seems I have gotten one of the better prices around recently.

I didn't want to take delivery until after Infiniti bought back my FX35 (lemon law) but they wouldn't hold the price past the end of the month - so I had to go. Infiniti has about 2 weeks to buy back the FX.

I am trying to get the Inspyre 18" for the TL - with the Falken 512 tires.
All season floor mats of course
Rear sway bar (ordered, but I just got an email... it is on backorder)

Now, I want to get the suspension and steering wheel (no body kit - for now at least) and I am being quoted $910 + $45 shipping. Is this a good price? I assume it is... but how much should I look at for installation at the dealer?

As far as the a-spec badge - I know I shouldn't bring this up - but IMO the suspension is the real performance to the car and that deserves the badge; HOWEVER, I won't put it on my car if I do not get the body kit.

If I get the body kit, how much should I look for installation on it?

Ann Arbor - it was interesting. To be honest, I don't really care for Suburban Acura because of the way they treated me. The sales manager must have gotten tired of me. I had been in and out test driving the TL for 4 months (only drove it about 5 times) but he must not have thought I was serious, and then when it was actually time to buy it he blew me off. (Granted I am 19 years old, so who would think I am serious?)

Acura of Troy simply refused to go more than $500 below sticker. Ann Arbor well it was a whole fiasco.

If I were the salesperson and the same person kept coming back for 4 months, I'd think he was wasting my time. I used to live in Detroit and I've been to Jeffrey Acura, Suburban, and the one in the Troy motor mall. I never had a bad experience with any of them and I was in my early 20s at the time.

Well the sales person I had been working with had quit. It was a new person that was working there.... although the sales manager at Suburban Honda (he works at the Acura dealer sometimes) sold me my civic a few years ago and the new sales manager at Acura wouldn't work with him for my car.

Not my problem, their loss. Ann Arbor won my business again and I am quite satisfied so far (I think).
