Beware Salvage '08 TL Type-S eBay

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/08-20...item2ec15eac55
I have no doubt this is some Russian selling it who has been hitting the pipe hard. You would have to be high to drop 20K on a salvage Type-S when you can buy a clean title for near the same price. LOL at the right fender and front bumper being replaced in the description.

Not surprising.... People always try to downplay damage, but that's just ridiculous. He's definitely asking for too much.

Wow, that damage is more then fender and bumper...its radiator/support/lines/engine mounts/maybe trans/headlight etc..list goes on..

salvage S in that condition I would say 16-17k, but be aware!! I have purchased a salvage TL before to fix up and it was a PAIN to inspect...had to transfer titles/get inspection date/bring it to a special inspection place/then transfer title to a non salvage..etc..spent about 1500 putting it on the road..

Asking that much because he probably paid a few thousand for it plus the repairs were over $10,000. That car is junk, I don't care how good of a body shop is which repaired it.

^Thanks; that car was way messed up. I wonder if he replaced the airbags or just replaced the covers. It definitely wasn't cheap getting this $4K car back on the road.

Wow! its crazy to see the before pictures. It's hard not to imagine the worst when a vehicle is branded as Salvage. That is why I will never buy a Salvage vehicle unless I want a track car, and in that case I will buy it wrecked and rebuild it myself.

and its usually the polish repair shops that do the shitty work..this i know from experience..dont talk shit about us russians =)

I wonder how long it will be until we see a topic like "Look at the great deal I got on a TL Type-S! It has a branded title, but only the bumper and fender were only replaced. Score!"
